Roy Halladay pitched as well as I thought he would and I am not upset about picking them. As for the Detroit pick...I am sorry. And the San Diego pick? The game went 22 innings, so what can you do?
Today I like the following:
Mets at Phillies Under 8
Johan Santana is welcomed into the new rivalry in this inter-divisional game at Philadelphia.
Satana faces Cole Hamels, the ace of the Phillies' staff, who has been electric this season with a .83 ERA.
But the Phillies have struggled against tough lefties, and it doesn't help that they are without Jimmy Rollins and Ryan Howard is struggling.
Milwaukee Brewers
They have Ben Sheets, and when he healthy he is one of the best pitchers in the Major Leagues. He faces a struggling Bronson Arroyo. I pick Milwaukee to win.
Arizona Diamondbacks
My final pick of the day is easy. I'm taking the hottest team in baseball and riding them until he cool off.
Arizona faces Greg Maddux tonight. Yes, Maddux is a good pitcher, but the Diamondbacks are sending Dan Haren to the mound coming off a great performance his last time out.
Not to mention San Diego's struggles to put up runs.
