The Thursday, October 31 edition of Impact! Wrestling, which aired a taped episode from Salt Lake City, UT, opened with a video package recapping last week's show and TNA President Dixie Carter walking towards the ring.

Carter expressed her frustration on AJ Styles walking out on TNA last week on Impact! Wrestling. In need of a new World Heavyweight champion, Carter introduced James Storm, Samoa Joe, Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy, Austin Aries, Bobby Roode, and Chris Saben as the participants in the tournament for the title.

Bully Ray interrupted Carter and demanded the TNA President a spot in the tournament. Suddenly, Mr. Anderson stormed towards the ring and began a brawl with Ray before a commercial break.

Match No. 1: James Storm and Gunner vs. Robbie E and Jesse Godderz for the TNA Tag Team Championship.

Your winners via pin fall to regain the TNA Tag Team titles: Robbie E and Josse Godderz.

Pretty basic opening match, as Robbie E and Godderz, who are known as "The BroMans," scored the cheap victory with Storm's foot being held under the ropes. There may still be plenty of people scratching their heads on why TNA would ever give the Tag Team belts to The BroMans in the first place. Unfortunately, it is something all viewers must deal with for now.

Match Rating: 3/5.

Match No. 2: Ethan Carter III vs. Local Jobber.

Your winner via pin fall: Ethan Carter III.

Another boring victory against a local jobber for Carter III. Carter III has all abilities to be a solid addition to the TNA roster but piling up victories against local jobbers are not doing him many favors.

Match Rating: 1/5.

Immediately after Carter III celebrated in the ring, a commercial aired featuring the new WWE 2K14 game, which included former TNA on-air General Manager Hulk Hogan.

Match No. 3: Sting vs. Kazarian vs. Mike Knux vs. Eric Young vs. Christopher Daniels vs. Manik vs. Magnus.

Your winner via pin fall: Magnus.

Magnus, who was the final entree to the match, surprised Sting by eliminating him instead of helping "The Icon" push Daniels over the rope. The win puts Magnus into the tournament for the World Heavyweight title.

Match Rating: 3.5/5.

Match No. 4: ODB vs. Gail Kim for the TNA Knockouts Championship.

Your winner via pin fall to regain the TNA Knockouts title: Gail Kim.

Good Knockouts title match, as there were quite a few hard hits both inside and outside the ring. Kim is poised for a very strong championship reign as the Knockouts title holder with Lei'd Tapa by her side.

Match Rating: 3/5.

Daniels and Kazarian, who were standing in the ring in their Halloween costumes, attempted to solve the mystery of Abyss' character. After searching under the ring, Daniels pulled out a pumpkin, pretending it was Abyss. However, Young quickly interrupted their segment and walked to the ring dressed as Joseph Park.

As Young was being attacked in the ring, Abyss returned to Impact! Wrestling by taking out Daniels and Kazarian.

Match No. 5: Bobby Roode vs. Kurt Angle.

Your winner: Bobby Roode.

The referee halted the match as Angle appeared to have passed out after nailing a top turnbuckle suplex on Roode. Another very competitive match between Angle and Roode, as both wrestlers produced another entertaining battle to watch. This was an interesting step in where TNA will be taking Angle in the future.

Match Rating: 4/5.
