One of the biggest points of discussion among gamers prior to the release of a sports game such as Madden relates to the ratings of the in-game players. The same can be said for WWE 2K14, as the rating of a particular character promises to have a major impact on their effectiveness as well as the frequency with which they are used by those playing the game.
With such a large and impressive roster, it's certainly difficult to nitpick when it comes to the ratings, but fans will inevitably believe that some of their favorites got slighted or that some of their least favorites received a little too much love. Such differences in opinion are what make the releases of games like this so much fun.
Here is a full listing of the entire WWE 2K14 roster along with the ratings that have been released thus far. Also, check out an in-depth breakdown of the ratings for some of the game's most intriguing characters.

The Ultimate Warrior
It's no secret that The Ultimate Warrior and WWE haven't exactly been on the best of terms over the years, but there is no question that Warrior is a huge part of WWE history. With that in mind, wrestling fans everywhere rejoiced when it was announced that The Ultimate Warrior would be included in WWE 2K14. This isn't the first time that Warrior has been in a WWE video game in recent years, but the manner in which it came about makes it seem as though the two sides have reconciled to a certain extent.
As far as the game itself is concerned, Warrior is a fantastic addition due to his popularity and the colorfulness of his character. The Ultimate Warrior was seemingly tailor-made for the virtual world, and that will make him an often-used Superstar in this year's game.
Warrior was never known for being a great in-ring worker, but that doesn't mean that he won't be fun to use in WWE 2K14. His raw power and frenetic energy will be on full display, and there is no doubt that he can be part of some fantastic dream matches.
With an overall rating of 93, Warrior is among the elite characters in the game. His run of dominance in WWE may have been fairly short when compared to some of the other all-time greats, but he was the first Superstar to hold the WWE and Intercontinental Championships simultaneously, and he was also the first person to defeat Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania. Warrior made an indelible mark on the business, and his 93 rating is well deserved.
Much like The Ultimate Warrior, Goldberg took the wrestling world by storm during his heyday, although a lack of staying power ultimately did him in. During the Monday Night Wars, however, Goldberg was a big reason why WCW was able to match and even exceed WWE. Goldberg's 173-0 undefeated streak is one of the most memorable angles in the history of professional wrestling, and he will forever be remembered fondly because of it.
Goldberg didn't have nearly as much success in WWE as he did in WCW, although he did win the World Heavyweight Championship during his one year with the company.
Unfortunately for Goldberg, the last memory wrestling fans have of him relates to his WrestleMania XX match against Brock Lesnar. Goldberg came away victorious, but it was an awful match, and the fans turned on both competitors since it was well known that they would be leaving the company at the conclusion of the bout.
Despite that, Goldberg got plenty of love in WWE 2K14 with a rating of 92 overall. Goldberg should be an extremely fun character to use in this year's game due to his incredible strength. His signature Spear and Jackhammer maneuvers can decimate any opponent, so gamers will get plenty of use out of him. Also, with many fans clamoring for him to return to the WWE for one more match, the dream bout possibilities are endless.
"Macho Man" Randy Savage
Unfortunately, the late "Macho Man" Randy Savage will never again set foot in a WWE ring, but his memory lives on due to his inclusion in WWE 2K14, among other things. Aside from Hulk Hogan, it can be argued that no Superstar had as big of an impact on the WWE's growth during the 1980s as Savage. Not only will he forever be remembered as one of the greatest in-ring workers of all time, but his eccentric character and versatility as a performer allowed the company to use him in a multitude of ways.
Which WWE 2K14 character are you most excited to use?
Savage has two playable characters in this year's game, as he is featured both in his 1980's attire as well as in his nWo attire. Since WWE 2K14 focuses largely on WrestleMania, however, the WWE version of Savage will be he main focus.
Savage's rating of 93 overall seems quite accurate, as it puts him in the upper echelon, which is exactly where he resided throughout his WWE tenure.
Savage had a number of classic encounters at WrestleMania, and four of them are featured in the 30 Years of WrestleMania mode. They include Savage vs. Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat at WrestleMania III, Savage vs. "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase at WrestleMania IV, Savage vs. Hogan at WrestleMania V and Savage vs. Ric Flair at WrestleMania VIII.
The Macho Man was undoubtedly one of the greatest performers in WWE history, and that will be on full display in WWE 2K14.
