PLEASE KEEP ANY COMMENTS RELATING TO THE FOOTBALL ASPECT OF VICK. NOT THE DOG FIGHTING. PLEASE KEEP COMMENTS CLEAN. IF YOU CANNOT DO THIS THEN PLEASE CLOSE YOUR INTERNET BROWSER NOW AND DO NOT READ THIS. WHAT I AM ASKING IS A SIMPLE REQUEST TO BE DECENT AND KEEP DISCUSSIONS RELATED TO FOOTBALL ONLY
Michael Vick was released from prison today and he now has a two month home lock in left.
I am going to be discussing several things about how the Patriots might and might not be interested in getting Vick. I got the idea for this article off several things I heard on ESPN and Peter King's ideas.
Could the Patriots want him?
If I was the Patriots management this is why I would want him.
He is a tremendous athlete and the wild cat formation could greatly produce amazing numbers with him.
The Patriots have a track record for taking in people with some character issues and making them behave. Vick would be a new pedestal though considering what he did.
He would have a small deal because of his history.
From a family aspect he is in debt up to his throat and he has two children.
Not too many reasons to want him. Here are the reasons I would not want him.
PETA and animal activists. I love animals as a lot of people do. As you can tell by my profile pick of my dog, I hate what Vick did and for what he did a lot of others despise him as well. You do not want protesters at every single game as we know there will be. Bad public relations.
Vick's physical shape and skill most likely suffered in prison. He will be less of a player than he was before.
He might not even be reinstated to the league and he is a liability.
There could be locker room quarrels even. As I said before, there are millions of dog lovers and the Patriots are not exempt.
Would you profit more than you suffer? I would have to say no.
These are just a few of the reasons why and why not I would not want to have Vick on the Patriots.
