Cleveland Fan Throws Spit Cup at Tampa Bay Rays Outfielder David DeJesus
He probably does not even mind.
DeJesus came into the Wild Card Game having played 1,277 games without a postseason appearance. He streak was the fifth-longest streak among active players.

His first postseason appearance will be even harder to forget than usual. In the eighth inning, DeJesus caught a foul ball right in front of the left-field fans. One of the fans appears to have thrown, and missed, a cup of liquid in DeJesus' direction.
The Twitter reaction to the incident started off comical when it was thought the substance was beer.
Cleveland fan just tried to douse David DeJesus with beer and missed. And ... that's pretty much a microcosm of the Indians' night.— Jeff Passan (@JeffPassan) October 3, 2013
David DeJesus almost got showered by a beer lol. #onlyclevelandfans— Nathan Rojas (@naterojas4) October 3, 2013
Some fans were more upset at the potential waste of beer than the act of it being thrown at a player while the game was in play.
Some Indians fan just threw a full beer at David DeJesus. What a waste of a 7 dollar ballpark beer!— Timmy Sonick (@Super_Sonick13) October 3, 2013
After further review of the fluid in motion, it became clear that it was dip spit and not beer. This changed the tone to a consensus of general disgust.
A couple people now saying they think it was a dip cup that was tossed at DeJesus. In which case: Ewwww.— Jeff Passan (@JeffPassan) October 3, 2013
Okay if that was dip spit that the fan threw at DeJesus that's just plain disgusting.— Aaron (@rightsideonly4) October 3, 2013
Unfortunately, the spit cup toss was not the only embarrassing fan moments of the game.

Stay classy, Cleveland.
