Looking over the roster of this years Steelers, you can see some ups and downs on both sides of the ball. Number 51 Larry Foote will be missed,it's a shame the players you lose due to salary caps.

It doesn't look like the defense is going to hurt to bad again this year. Of course we have the veterans on defense, #43 Troy Palamalu a threat to any offense, with Troy you never know where he is. Casey Hampton # 98 one of the best defensive nose tackles in the game, don't let his size fool you he his quick and mean. We have #91 Aaron Smith who had thirty nine tackles, eighteen quarterback pressures.

Of course we can't forget two of the biggest threats on any defense,#92 James Harrison, right outside linebacker.  One of the most feared is #51 James Farrior, left inside linebacker. On the left corner we have #24 Ike TAYLOR, playing defensive end #91 Aaron Smith.

During this seasons draft the Steelers picked up some good defensive players to fill any gaps they might have. Defensive end # 73 Ra'Shon Harris this defensive end is tall and quick. Another defensive end the Steelers are glad to have gotten is #96 Ziggy HOOD. Look out NFL here comes the STEEL CURTAIN of 2009.

Hopefully this season the offensive coordinator can protect Ben. With rookie guard #65 Kraig Uribik, which coach  Tomlin is real excited to have added to the team, earlier he was quoted in saying"he is Steeler material. He will fill the gap in that one position. They also drafted Frank Summers #44  in the backfield,Frank has build speed and the muscle to get it done especially in short yardage situations.

With the rookies, and the veterans Willie Parker # 39. Our wide receiver's Hines Ward #86, Santonio Holmes,# 10  who caught the winning touch down pass last season, Limas Sweed #14.and tight end #83 Heath Miller, this offense has some of the beast hands in the NFL. Hopefully Ben will stay healthy, in case something does happen,we have # 16 back up quarterback Charlie BATCH.Good luck in 2009 trying to stop the PITTSBURG STEELERS.
