Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has made quite an impact in his first two NFL seasons.  He was the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2007, and followed that up by winning the league rushing title in 2008.  Peterson is one of only five players in NFL history to rush for over 3,000 yards in their first two NFL seasons.

This makes Peterson an interesting interview subject.

Here are the 10 questions I would ask him if given the opportunity:

1.  Much has been made of your proclamation that you want to gain weight before the 2009 season.  If you're able to do it, do you think that will help you reach your stated goal in 2008 of a 2,000-yard rushing season?

2.  How much do you expect the loss of veteran center Matt Birk to impact the Vikings' offense?

3.  Many fans think you should be more involved in the Vikings' passing game or perhaps be used in the same backfield with Chester Taylor.  What are your feelings about those topics?

4.  What do you think of the Brett Favre "will he or won't he" drama?

5.  Who was your favorite NFL player to watch as a kid?

6.  Did you excel at any other sports in high school, college, or before?

7.  Is there anyone currently playing in the NFL, regardless of position, that you admire for their playing ability?

8.  What defensive player currently in the league do you fear the most, if there is one?

9.  What can you tell me about rookie offensive tackle Phil Loadholt, who shares your collegiate alma mater?

10.  I may have touched on this with my first question, but what are your personal goals for the 2009 season?
