Metta World Peace is so much more than basketball.

Making an appearance on the Hallmark Channel's show Home and Family, World Peace partook in a rousing Cornhole competition.

For those unfamiliar with the intricacies of this complex game (kidding), I suggest you visit the American Cornhole Association's official website to brush up on your cornholing

Basically, though, you attempt to throw corn bags through a hole carved into a wooden platform. Any toss that finds the bottom of the circle is worth two points, and any throw where the bag lands on, and subsequently sticks to, the ramp-like structure is worth one. Heaves that fail to go through the cornhole or remain on the platform are worth nothing.

Got it? Good.

On this day, World Peace's cornhole nemesis is former NFL quarterback Rodney Peete.

After a grueling, hard-fought outdoor battle, World Peace's team came out on top. And to the victor went the spoils, in the form of a corn-on-the-cob-shaped trophy.

His cameo wasn't all fun and games, though. Per the Hallmark Channel's webpage, he came on the show to discuss the organization he founded, Xcel University:

Before leaving town for the New York KnicksMetta World Peace stops by "Home & Family" to discuss an issue near and dear to his heart. He founded Xcel University to focus on mental health prevention and even raffled off his NBA Championship ring for almost $700,000 to benefit the cause. Metta also elaborates on why he legally changed his name from Ron Artest and what it was like becoming a dad at age 16. Plus, the basketball star-turned-author reads a passage from his children's book, "Metta's Bedtime Stories."

That little championship ring anecdote is one many tend to forget about. For all his questionable, eyebrow-raising antics, World Peace has never been what you would consider selfish or villainous off the court.

In related news, this is one episode of Home and Family you shouldn't want to miss. It literally has everything.

Nowhere else will you have the opportunity to see World Peace discuss his name change, read you an excerpt from his book and then cross "cornhole champion" off his bucket list.

Offseason excursions were never so productive.

World Peace is already winning championships in July. Imagine what he has in store for the New York Knicks once the NBA season begins.
