The following observations are made:

Twenty-nine players from Prairie View played pro football in the NFL.

Seven of the twenty-nine (24 percent) only had one season or one year.

Fifteen of the players  (52 percent) were in the NFL five years or less.

Fourteen of the players (48 percent) were in the NFL five years or more.

One player had the maximum of 14 years.

Ken Houston from Prairie View is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

One observation is that Prairie View had 50 percent of total number of players in the NFL from Texas Southern.  Prairie had 29 and Texas Southern had 60.

As of 2009, Texas Southern does not have a player in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Prairie View has one Hall of Famer, Ken Houston who was inducted in 1986.

One source says:

"Kenneth Ray Houston (born November 12, 1944 in Lufkin, Texas) is a former American football defensive back in the American Football League and National Football League. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1986.

"Houston played for the AFL's Houston Oilers from 1967 through 1969, and after the AFL-NFL merger, with the Oilers from 1970 through 1972, then with the Washington Redskins until 1980."
