Everton Transfer News and Rumours Tracker: Week of July 8
Everton's preseason officially gets under way this week as Roberto Martinez's squad jet off to Austria to begin preparations for the 2013-14 campaign.
These early training sessions will predominately be fitness based, but Martinez will want as many of next season's squad to be present as possible.
If Everton are able to buy before they sell, it would make sense to bring in new faces before this trip sets off. At the same time, the participation of the likes of Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines is sure to be closely scrutinised over the coming games.
Once again, here is your weekly dose of transfer rumours and stories surrounding Everton. As usual, be sure to check back later in the week for further developments.
For those keeping track of all Toffees-related links over the summer, last week's transfer gossip can be found here.

Interest Cooled in Moses
1 of 8Friday July 12
The frantic pace Everton began the week has inevitably eased up somewhat, with the media publishing news about the Toffees' four new signings.
That has led to a lack of further rumours around the club, although The Liverpool Echo claim Everton have "abandoned" their interest in Chelsea's Victor Moses.
The fact Arouna Kone and Gerard Deulofeu have been added allows Martinez time to play the waiting game on any further deals and see who becomes available.
Moses may still be under consideration, but it seems more likely to be something done late in the window, if at all.
Official: Everton Sign Deulofeu
2 of 8Wednesday July 10
Everton have continued what's become an uncharacteristic transfer splurge by bringing in Barcelona's highly-rated Gerard Deulofeu on a year-long loan deal.
The Spaniard is the Toffees' fourth signing of a busy week and is one of the brightest young talents in the game.
Everton's official site confirmed the deal and Roberto Martinez was quoted as saying:
"Gerard is a real diamond of Spanish football and a boy with incredible footballing talent and I am delighted that he has chosen to take the next step of his career with Everton. He is a young man with a lot of potential to be a real star and the Everton family is the perfect environment for him to progress.
The warmth, patience and understanding of Goodison Park is exactly what he needs to carry on fulfilling his potential... We understand a lot of other top clubs around Europe were interested in Gerard so it is fantastic he has joined us.
"
The purchase of Deulofeu, despite being a loan, has created considerable buzz among Evertonians and many in the game consider this to be a genuine coup for the Toffees.
Official: Everton Sign Robles
3 of 8Tuesday July 9
Joel Robles has made this a hectic few days at Everton by following Arouna Kone and Antolin Alacarz in signing for the club.
The 23-year-old Spanish goalkeeper joins on a five-year deal, and will add genuine competition for Tim Howard next season.
As with all official transfers, the club's website confirmed the deal and revealed he could feature against Austria Vienna this weekend.
Official: Everton Sign Alcaraz
4 of 8Tuesday July 9
On the back of Arouna Kone's signing, Roberto Martinez made his second capture of the summer by bringing in free agent, Antolin Alcaraz.
The Paraguayan international played for Martinez's Wigan side over the past three years, often proving the Latics' most reliable player in what was a generally shaky defence.
Everton's official website confirmed the deal, adding Alcaraz joins his new team on a two-year deal.
A Deal for Victor Moses?
5 of 8Tuesday July 9
The Daily Mail's Simon Jones claims Everton are "close" to bringing in Chelsea's Victor Moses for £8 million.
The former Wigan man is another player linked with the Toffees who has previous experience of Roberto Martinez's management.
Jones also reports that moves for Aiden McGeady and Nathan Dyer are still under consideration as Everton look to build a new side under their new manager.
Official: Everton Sign Kone
6 of 8Monday July 8
Everton made their first signing of the summer, bringing in Arouna Kone from Wigan.
The Ivorian striker follows Roberto Martinez to the Toffees having been heavily linked over the past couple of weeks in most media outlets.
The club's official website announced the news, confirming Kone joins on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
That predicted price varies across the media, with The Guardian claiming he cost Everton £6.5 million while The Independent describe it as a £5 million package.
Diame to Reunite with Martinez?
7 of 8Monday July 8
After news of Arouna Kone following Roberto Martinez to Everton, talkSPORT are reporting another one of the Spaniard's former charges, Mohamed Diame, could also be on his way.
The West Ham midfielder supposedly has a £3.5 million buyout clause in his contract which the Toffees are considering activating.
Diame was linked to Everton a few weeks ago and is a player the club may well consider in the event of Marouane Fellaini being sold, although they do appear a little light in midfield regardless of the Belgian's future.
Dennis Lawrence to Join as Coach
8 of 8Monday July 8
Sky Sports claim Dennis Lawrence is "poised" to join Everton as part of Roberto Martinez's coaching team.
Martinez introduced Graeme Jones, Inaki Bergara, Kevin Reeves and Richard Evans last week, but it seems he intends to add another coach or two to his roster.
Wigan were supposedly keen to keep hold of Lawrence, who Sky Sports claim is highly-rated by the Toffees' new manager.
