The season is almost over. The only matches actually remaining are the Cup competitions in each country and of course the Champions League final in Rome.

The three big leagues are also virtually decided (the most optimistic Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Milan fans may argue here). Although the Bundelsiga, Ligue 1, and other titles are still up for grabs, I think we all have an idea of the best players of the season.

As every football magazine and newspaper has their journalists voting for a Team of the Season, I thought that we writers at B/R should vote for a Team of the Year as well.

I got this idea from Willie Gannon (thanks Willie). The difference being that this one has football players and Willie's has writers.

After you all make your teams, I will count them all, and reveal the Bleacher Report Journalists' Team of the Year on the 31st of May. Till then, all the teams will be counted.

So all you fantastic writers, please write your Team of the Season in the comments box for a standard 4-4-2 formation, and the positions mentioned. If suppose you feel that a player does not play a specific position, please feel free to put him in any position you feel he can play best in.

Let us see how our teams are different from other journalists and reporters.

Please remember that the players should be playing in European Club Competition only. No players form other continental coub competition and no player should be choosen on basis of performance in International football, including the European Championship in 2008. Only European Club Football.

Team should have (4-4-2 formation)
