Inter Milan Transfer Tracker: Week of June 17 News and Rumours

    Inter Milan will be hoping to make some solid moves during the transfer window.

    There have been plenty of rumours and news involving the Italian club so far this summer, but little activity.

    After enduring a disappointing 2012/13 season, Inter Milan will be looking to bounce back strongly.

    That will require some new additions to fit into Walter Mazzarri's preferred system.

    We'll update this tracker with some of the latest transfer news regarding the club.

Antonio Cassano May Leave After All

    According to Sky Sports, Antonio Cassano may end up leaving Inter after all. As mentioned in the article, Cassano may be sent to Parma in exchange for Ishak Belfodil. 

    Inter president, Massimo Moratti, was quoted in the article saying this concerning Cassano's future, "We'll see whether Cassano leaves. For Silvestre it would be a way for him to get regular games, but the deal is yet to be finalised."

Bayer Leverkusen Sign Giulio Donati

    Goal.com reports that Italy U-21 defender, Giulio Donati, has been signed by Bayer Leverkusen.

    The Inter Milan youngster played a major role in Italy's run to the final of the recent UEFA European U-21 Championship.

    He was unable to get into Inter's senior side, but impressed with his performances during the tournament.

    Donati will be a replacement for former Bayer Leverkusen right-back, Dani Carvajal

Inter's Duncan Subject to Interest from Sunderland

    Inter's young midfielder, Alfred Duncan, is  flattered by interest from Sunderland, reports ESPN FC.

    The Ghanaian made his debut appearance for Inter early in the 2012/13 season, before going on-loan to help Livorno earn promotion back to the Serie A.

    The 20-year-old can play as a defensive midfielder, or as a central midfielder, and he's currently on duty with Ghana's U-20 squad at this year's FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Antonio Cassano Not Headed to Genoa

    Antonio Cassano's name has popped up in a number of transfer rumours so far this summer. 

    As reported by Goal.com, Inter Sporting Director, Marco Branca, claimed that there's no truth in a recent rumour concerning Cassano moving to Genoa.

    Cassano would likely still have an important role to play in Walter Mazzarri's setup, providing creativity and vision in the attacking third.

    He had a decent debut season with Inter, scoring nine goals and adding 12 assists.

Inter Open Talks for Ishak Belfodil

    Inter president, Massimo Moratti, has stated that there are talks between Inter and Parma over a deal for forward, Ishak Belfodil, reveals Sky Sports.

    Antonio Cassano and Matias Silvestre are reportedly set to go the other way on-loan, if a deal is struck.

    The Algerian youngster scored eight goals and had four assists in 34 games for his side.

    The addition of Belfodil would bring some youth to a strike force with an average age of 32, and provide the youngster with the chance to learn from players like Diego Milito.

Inter in Pole Position to Sign Radja Nainggolan

    According to Football-Italia, with an original report for Sky Sports Italia, Inter are front-runners for Radja Nainggolan.

    Nainggolan has been a constant fixture in the Cagliari side during the last few seasons, attracting a lot of attention in the process.

    The Belgian midfielder would add some much needed energy to the Inter squad.

Inter May Lose out on Paulinho

    The Daily Mail reports that Inter Milan may lose out on Brazilian midfielder Paulinho to Tottenham.

    New Inter boss, Walter Mazzarri, will be looking to make some changes in midfield, and the Corinthians star would be a good option.

    Paulinho brings a box-to-box presence that would work well in Mazzarri's 3-5-2 system. 

    He scored 13 goals for Corinthians all season, and was excellent in his club's victory over Chelsea in the FIFA club World Cup final.

Inter Linked with Move for Balazs Dzsudzsak

    Inter is one of a number of clubs linked with a move for Balazs Dzsudzsak, according to Sky Sports.

    The Hungarian winger scored five goals in 27 games during the 2012/13 season.

    Dzsudzsak has endured an up-and-down time in Russia, but he did show some improved form for Dinamo Moscow this past season.

    Sky Sports reports he's also been linked with a move to West Ham.

Tottenham Interest in Fredy Guarin Is Real

    As mentioned by Inter president, Massimo Moratti, and revealed by Sky Sports, Tottenham's interest in Fredy Guarin is very real.

    The powerful Colombian midfielder made 47 appearances for Inter throughout the season, scoring 10 goals and producing eight assists.

    Guarin would add an element of physicality, and a goal-scoring threat, to Tottenham's midfield.

    He's worked under current manager, Andre Villas-Boas, before and may be tempted to make a move.

Antonio Cassano to Stay at Inter

    Antonio Cassano's agent has stated that his client is set to stay at Inter, reports Sky Sports.

    The Italian forward enjoyed a solid debut season for Inter, picking up nine goals and 12 assists in 39 games.

    Cassano's skill and vision made him an important creative outlet for the side.

    French big-spenders, Monaco, have been linked with a move for the player by ESPN FC

Mauricio Isla May Be Interested in Inter Move

    According to Goal.com, Mauricio Isla has no problem with a move to Inter.

    As was reported on Sky Sports, the Chilean's agent claimed there were a few details to sort out before a possible transfer. 

    Isla spent the 2012/13 season with Juventus as part of their co-ownership deal with Udinese.

    He only appeared 16 times for Juventus during the season, though he did provide three assists. 

    Inter coach, Walter Mazzarri, may be looking for Isla to fulfill a role on the wings in his preferred 3-5-2 formation.

Dejan Stankovic Wants to Stay at Inter

    Inter's experienced midfielder, Dejan Stankovic, has made it clear that he wants to stay with the club, reports Goal.com.

    The Serbian made only three appearances for Inter last season, and will hope a change in coach will provide more playing time.

    While there has been no rumoured interest in the Serbian, Walter Mazzarri may let the 34-year-old go if he doesn't fit into his plans.
