Chances are that everyone who will read this has read about Vince McMahon supposedly not feeling Christian ever had star power.
Well, about the same time, a similar article was released in which Stephanie McMahon began planting stories with the intent of polluting our "knowledge" on the Internet.
The story was, that although Vince brought Christian back, he felt that he had no star-power and would be a mid-carder for the rest of his days.
Why would he do it though? For now, everyone will instantly pick against Captain Charisma in every big match. No one will pick him to win the Royal Rumble in 2010 and challenge his Edge, and no one will pick him to win at Wrestlemania, but I think he will.
With Vince's new motive to surprise everyone, does ANY of this actually surprise you?
Whether it was Vince or Stephanie planting a story or Christian changing their minds through his ring work, something changed.
Maybe it was the awesome matches he has been putting on with the ECW roster, or maybe it was the 70,000 people in Texas chanting "Christian" during the "Money in the Bank" match-up at Wrestlemania 25, or maybe even the 70,000 fans who booed the crap out of CM Punk when he won that same match.
There is no doubting that something changed Vince's mind because Christian is the new ECW champion, and he will likely be for some time.
Unless they want to give the title to Vladimir Kozlov, I don't see Christian dropping the title until they give it to Evan Bourne, which could likely be around Summerslam.
They are already teasing a Christian/Edge match. At Backlash they were shown on camera having a confrontation.
Even though the promo was Edge oriented, there is no doubting that the fans were hyped to see them together.
