Let's Rebuild Wrigley Field
I remember just like it was yesterday. Ryne Sandberg was up at the plate. It was a meaningless game standings wise. The Cubbies were horrible during the 1997 season. Ryno was set to retire and the Cubs were just riding out the storm. That didn't matter to me though. I was 7 years old and my dad took me and my two little sisters to see a Cubs game. Sitting in our bad outfield terrace seats, I saw Ryno hit his last homerun as a Cub. I didn't understand it then, but I just witnessed history that Other life long Cubs
That's just one of the things that has happened at historic Wrigley Field. From Sosa and Mcgwire's homers to Bartman's folly, Wrigley Field is full of history. However, in this writers opinion Wrigley Field should be history.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
Cubs fans love our stadium, but we cant ignore the facts. Wrigley is old and very out of date. I mean c'mon you have to pee in a freaking troff! But to me its not just the bad bathrooms, the almost un-edible food, or the falling cement blocks that make me want the cubs to close the historic ball yard. It is the overwhelming price you pay to take the family to a Cubs game.
Between tickets, food, parking and train tickets, a trip to Wrigley can cost a ton of money. Lets just say 22$ a ticket (and that's cheap). 22x5=110. Now 4$ a train ticket that's 16$ added to that. lets say 1 hot dog and one Pepsi a person. Pepsi is 3$ and a hot dog is 3.50. that's 32.50$ right there. Now dad wants a beer and you cant go to Wrigley without having a malt cup can you? The beer is 6$ and the malt cups are 3$ each that's another 21$ Last but not least you need gas in your tank, I'll be kind and figure in 15$ for gas. that makes 194.50$ Basically that's 200 bucks to take the family out to a ball game. That's money that could be spent on groceries, clothes, bills, food etc. 200$ to go to a stadium where there are blind spots everywhere, the seats are uncomfortable, the bathrooms are almost un-usable and the food is almost un-bearable? I think that all Cub Fans deserve better than that. I love Wrigley with all my heart but all good things must come with an end.
