Bacary Sanga: 7: As usual the Frenchmen was solid and pulled off a number of fine challenges.

Johan Djourou: 7: Dominant in the air and dealt with the Portsmouth attack well. No real errors from the Swiss defender.

Alexandre Song: 6.5: Nice to see the Cameroon man at center half. Some good challenges but a tad lazy at times.

Emmanuel Eboue: 7: Was told to patroll at left back and he was more than impressive. Solid defending and more than useful going forward.

Theo Walcott: 6.5: Needs to find a bit more control in his passing, but the Englishmen was always a constant threat.

Aaron Ramsey: 7: His first Premier League start and the Welshmen didn't disappoint. Confident with the ball and a number of smart passes.

Denilson: 6: Another relatively quiet games for the Brazilian. A few good passes but was disposed to easily.

Andrei Arshavin: 8: Another impressive game from the £15 million Russian. Was always dangerous and confident with the ball. Also Showed great sportsmanship in bewteen his damaging runs.

Carlos Vela: 8: A rare start for the Mexican but he showed he deserves a few more. Scored his first Premier League goal with a cool and calm finish and always made his presence felt going forward.

Nicklas Bendtner: 8: Superb. Two deserved goals and was always involved. Well done Nicky B.
