John Cena and The Big Show: An Old Rivalry Renewed

Well wrestling fans, looks as if the WWE has another or will have another rivalry on their hands with John Cena and the Big Show. This rivalry isn't exactly new, just renewed.

It goes back as far as the signing of the World Heavyweight championship at Wrestlemania 25. Only then it was supposed to be Big Show and Edge, but John knew something about Vickie Guerrero and Big Show that they didn't want Edge to know.

And as the story goes, John blackmailed Vickie and she made the match a triple threat match. Edge and Big Show were in shock but of course no one knew of the blackmailing.....yet.

Soon after, John Cena made it public about the affair Vickie and the Show were having behind Edge's back. He viewed  it on the screen for everyone to see. My what a web we weave when we learn to lie and deceive.

There were matches where one of the three would interfere with the other's matches. John won the heavyweight title, beating Edge and the Big Show. Edge couldn't take not being champion, that's what he lived for.

As time went by, Edge grew more desperate and more dangerous. Big Show was angry and wanted to get even with Cena. He got his chance at Backlash when John just about had the match won against Edge and the Big Show knocked Edge off of John's shoulders and choke slammed John into a 7,000 watt search light.

Sparks flew everywhere. John laid motionless and couldn't answer the 10 count. Edge won the Last Man Standing match and took back the belt.

Vickie guerrero had arranged all this for the Show to do. She would help him get a match in which John came out unexpectedly, hardly able to walk. He interfered with the match and wasn't able to get back into the ring before the referee counted to 10. Therefore, Show lost and Batista became the No. 1 contender for Randy Orton's belt at Judgement Day.

I figure the old rivalry will be renewed. Big Show and John Cena will probably have a contender's match, and that winner will fight Edge for his belt in another pay-per-view-event.

Guess we'll just have to see what happens in the next few weeks to follow. There's bound to be some twists and turns, and in the WWE anything can and will happen.
