Buddy Rose Found Dead Last Night

Maribel RRKOApr 29, 2009

fw4online.com is reporting that Northwest wrestling star Playboy Buddy Rose (Paul Perschmann), was found dead today by his wife at his home in Vancouver, Wash.

No cause of death has been determined, although it has been reported that he had blood sugar issues and diabetes. So, that might be a reason why, but either way, Rest In Peace.

Rose helped groom quite a few wrestlers, including the Midnight Rockers, Michaels & Janetty. He wrestled primarily in the Pacific Northwest United States for promoters like Don Owen, but also spent time in the WWE as both Buddy Rose & The masked Executioner..

He was an eight-time Pacific NW Heavyweight Champion, 12 Time Pacific NW Tag Champion, and held the AWA World Tag Titles with Doug Somers.

His last match took place at Wrestle Reunion 2005 in Tampa, Fla. He competed in a six-man tag team bout pitting himself, Col. DeBeers (Ed Wiskoski) and Bob Orton, Jr. against Jimmy Valiant, Roddy Piper and Jimmy Snuka.

This was billed as Jimmy Valiant's retirement match, but Rose (who took the biggest bump of the night) retired after this as a wrestler, and only made personal appearances. He opened a Wrestling Training School with Wiskoski in Portland after his retirement.

Any thoughts? I thought Buddy Rose was a great person and wrestler, its terrible to see him go, Rest In Peace...
