Texas A&M's Goal for New Football Stadium Is to Make You Wet Your Pants?

Randy ChambersMay 10, 2013

Kyle Field is already considered one of the biggest home-field advantages in college football. It has gotten to the point where it is also known as the 12th man, as the Texas A&M crowd gets so loud it is considered an extra guy on the field helping the team out.

That crowd is going to get even louder once $450 million is poured into renovations and the stadium expands to a little more than 102,000 seats.

What is the goal behind the expansion? Most would think it is to create the scariest place to play football, giving Texas A&M the nod over places such as Death Valley in LSU and Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Florida.

But asking Sam Torn, one of the chairs of the redevelopment committee for the stadium, he has taken things to a whole new level, which he told TexAgs.com. (h/t Fox Sports South West)

"Our goal is when an opposing team walks out on this field it is going to be so loud, it is going to be so intense, that literally someone is going to wet their pants," Sam Torn said.

By the use of the word "literally", you can assume that Torn was not joking. He wants the place rocking so loud that earthquake games are no longer acceptable. Instead, he wants a grown man to run out of the tunnel and have to turn around because he has some personal business to handle. Not sure if this is a true home-field advantage or being just plain mean.

Although things could always be worse, as Switowski in The Longest Yard (NSFW) had a slightly different effect on his opponents.

Hopefully with the official plan now out of the bag, teams will make sure to bring diapers and baby wipes with them when traveling to College Station.

Hey, can't say Torn didn't warn you.
