On April 27, the city of London will celebrate Wembley's 90th birthday.

The iconic stadium, which originally broke ground in 1922 and opened in 1923, remains a beacon for the home of football in England and will be commemorated with a day of festivities.

The celebrations will focus on honouring the upcoming FA Cup final between Manchester City and Wigan Athletic, and the best part is that the fans can join in.

Starting at The Oval—the stadium where the first-ever final was played, between Wanderers and Royal Engineers, in 1872—a glass-sided truck will carry the match ball intended for this year's final through the streets of London and deliver it to the doors of Wembley.

The truck will stop at many famous destinations along the way, including the London Eye, Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament, and interactive events will occur at every break.

Take in some of the country's finest footballing freestylers and have your photo taken with the final match ball or even the FA Cup itself.

Coaches from the FA will be holding sessions for kids ages five through 11 at the Kennington Park football pitches, while members of the England set will also be on hand to enjoy the experience.

Competitions will be held, so enter for the chance to win hospitality at an international match for 10 people, five pairs of international match tickets or a pair of tickets to the FA Cup final next month.

Full details can be found at Wembley Pass, and I'll be on site to review the event and recap the fun.
