Last night WrestleZone broke the story that WWE Diva Milena "Rosa Mendes" Roucka had been sent home from WWE's current tour of Europe over behavioral issues. They claimed the Diva had been partying too much on the road and management had finally had enough.
The word making the rounds, according to one source, is that the company was concerned about her behavior on the tour. Since there had been a history of similar issues, the company made the call to send her back Stateside.
Presumably in response to reports, WWE has sent out an official statement to PWInsider and other places, which reads: "Milena Roucka (Rosa Mendes) left the international tour for personal reasons."
Over at her official Twitter account, Roucka had this to say about the situation:
Just wanted to let all my #Mendesluverz that I'm ok. I had to take care of some personal matters. Thank you for all your support. Love you
Roucka, a former model and actress, signed a deal with the company after participating in the 2006 Diva Search contest. After a spell down in developmental, she was called up to the main roster in 2008.
To say Roucka struggled as a wrestler is putting it mildly. It's not being unfair to say that, even by the (already low) standards of the Divas division, she was awful.
Hey, this is a woman who once managed to botch standing in a corner. Or what about this dreadful exchange? And who can forget this truly classic PPV moment when she and Jillian forgot that they were meant to be on the same side during a LumberJill match and started brawling with each other?
Thankfully, WWE eventually realized that using her in an in-ring role was not the best idea, and she was switched to the role of full-time valet for tag team Epico & Primo. This was a role she thrived in, with the star finally being able to show her considerable charisma and personality, without having to worry about the physical side of things. It seemed she had finally found her place in the company.
It will be interesting to see how this situation develops, that's for sure.
