Morning Recruiting Tidbits

The Blue White game is just two days away. Can you feel the excitement? How about we start the morning off with some recruiting updates?


Wide receiver Adrian Coxson (shown catching a football), out of the Baltimore area, was once reported to be favoring Penn State, but now it seems he is looking around. According to Blue White Illustrated, Penn State still appears to be the leading candidate for the receiver, which would be a very nice addition to the offense next year.

Don't look now but the Michigan Wolverines have entered the mix as well. With Michigan's offense transforming into a spread offense Coxson is intrigued by the chance to get more playing time.

Wait a minute though—Penn State has a spread offense!

Coxson's interest in Penn State is still high, but he has offers from many schools including Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Notre Dame, and Pittsburgh, in addition to the two Big Ten schools. Definitely keep an eye on Coxson.

This weekend figures to be an important one as far as recruiting goes with the Blue White game is traditionally a popular stop for recruits. About 20 recruits for the class of 2010 are expected to attend the spring game, giving many of them a first look at Penn State football up close. Just about all of the Class of 2009 recruits will be on the sidelines as well.

Stephen Obeng-Agyapong will not be there this weekend, though, as he will be in Philadelphia participating in the Penn Relays. There should be some Class of 2011 recruits in the mix at State College this weekend as well, but it's too early to worry about those kids yet.
