UFC 98-Big Names On a Big Card

Well UFC 98 is looking to promise some good reviews. It has the main event of Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida vs. "Sugar" Rashad Evans. A co-main event retirement fight with Matt Hughes vs. Matt "the terror" Serra. Phillipe Nover vs. Kyle Bradly. Sean "the Muscle Shark" Sherk vs Frank Edgar. All good fights promising good futures.

Starting off, Nover coming off a loss to Efrain Escudero at TUF Mir-Noguiera Finale. He is fighting a fighter I don't believe I myself have seen fight. Nover is still a new fighter,so he still has a long career in front of him. Bradly I'm sure has a promising future in front of him also.

Sherk vs Edgar. Sherk doing very good in his career and coming off a win against Tyson Griffin by decision. Edgar is also coming off a win against Hermes Franca by a decision. This should be a good match up, because both are great wrestlers, and both have good training and cardio. So this should be interesting to see who is going to bring what kind of game plan to the table.

Yushin Okami fights Dan Miller is also a fight on this great card. Okami is coming off a three fight win streak. This could start to put him into the title shot picture. That wouldn't be a bad fight against Anderson Silva. Both Okami and Silva are good on the ground so lets see how that will come out. But first Okami has to Fight Miller.

Miller is also coming off a three fight win streak. This fight could be interesting because, Miller is good in Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai, and Okami is good at ground and pound, so I'm also going to tune in to see this fight because this fight can go anywhere in the octagon.

Serra vs Hughes. Matt Hughes has had an outstanding career and a victory over Serra would be a great way to say goodbye. Serra is coming off a loss to the champion, at the 170 division,George St. Pierre. So Serra could win and slowly move his way back up the ranks into the title shot picture. Hughes and Serra have fought before so this will be interesting to see what's new in both of these fighters pockets.

Finally it's Record vs Record in the 205 division and it's for the title! Never before has two undefeated fighters fought for the title in the UFC. Evans coming off a win vs Griffin for the title. Machida is coming off a win vs Thiago Silva. Both of these fighters have knockout power. Both of these fighters are no stranger to the ground. So this will be a very good fight to see where this fight will go, and in what way will it go.

Good luck to all these fighters, and Thank you Hughes for so many great fights.
