Chelsea are set to open negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen over the £20 million transfer of striker Andre Schurrle, according to the Daily Mirror.
According to the report, Schurrle's representatives attended Chelsea's FA Cup semifinal defeat to Manchester City at Wembley on Sunday. Chelsea reportedly tried to sign Schurrle last summer.
Schurrle, 22, has scored nine goals in 29 Bundesliga appearances this season. He has earned 22 caps for Germany.
Barcelona president Sandro Rosell says he likes an unnamed German player, widely thought to be Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels (via Marca).
Hummels, a 24-year-old German international, has been linked with Barca recently. Barca are reportedly looking to replace 35-year-old Carles Puyol.
Rosell, however, declined to name Hummels. "There's a German player I like very much, but I can't give his name because if we go for him in the end, his price will go up," he said.
Hummels has played 24 times in the Bundesliga this season and eight times in the UEFA Champions League.
Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo says the "doors are open" for English midfielder David Beckham to remain with the club next season (via Sky Sports).
Beckham, 37, signed a short-term deal with PSG in January after leaving the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer in December. The former England captain turns 38 in May.
"He's a leader in the dressing room. It's a privilege to have him with us. We are trying to continue with him, but at 38 it's up to him to decide," said Leonardo. "He has the desire to play, but there's all the rest, his life. PSG's doors are open. If he wants to stay on, he's going to stay on."
Manchester City and Arsenal are monitoring Stephan El Shaarawy's situation at AC Milan, according to Italian reports (via talkSPORT).
El Shaarawy, a 20-year-old Italy international striker, has been in poor form and was left out of the starting lineup for Sunday's Serie A draw with Napoli.
El Shaarawy joined Milan from Genoa in 2011 and is under contract until 2018. He has scored 16 league goals this season in 31 appearances.
Frank Lampard has postponed his wedding after the Los Angeles Galaxy improved their offer to bring him to Major League Soccer, according to the Daily Star.
Lampard, a 34-year-old English midfielder, joined Chelsea from West Ham in 2001. His contract expires at the end of the season. He is not expected to receive a new contract with the club.
According to the report, the Galaxy previously offered $5 million per season but now offer $6 million plus bonuses.
