TMZ recently had a brief moment to speak with WWE legend and multi-time champion Edge and asked him what he thought of dogs wearing pantyhose.

There aren't a ton of fans who were dying to know the Rated-R Superstar's opinion on that particular issue, but now they know. For the record, he's against it.

If you have one question with a former wrestling star, you have to make it count, right?

You have to give TMZ points for originality. This was certainly not a question he’d been asked in previous interviews.

Edge was heading to a car just outside the LaGuardia Airport, rolling his suitcases along. A reporter from TMZ stopped him. He didn't ask about Edge’s appearances on Haven or what else he's been up to since retiring from WWE. He also didn't ask about how Edge’s neck is holding up.

He instead asked Edge what he thought of the dogs-in-pantyhose craze. Edge said, "It pissed me off. Yeah, it looked funny, but I felt sorry for the dog."

The newest trend in China is indeed ridiculous and disturbingly so. It's strange, though, that TMZ went to Edge for his thoughts on this. He is neither an expert in dogs nor pantyhose, as far as we know.

Edge was extremely friendly in dealing with the reporter. He took the odd question in stride and gave the only logical answer. As cute and funny as folks may think putting their dogs in pantyhose is, Edge is right: You have to feel sorry for those pooches.

The next time TMZ gets a chance to ask Edge another question, perhaps it can find out how he feels about pets in Halloween costumes.
