This week's edition of Notre Dame's spring practice report arrives with significantly less drama and fanfare than that of the first two weeks, which, typically is good news for Irish fans.

The team and coaching staff was back in the Loftus Center—the team's indoor practice facility—on Wednesday afternoon for the first time after a short hiatus for Easter break.

Highlights

Notre Dame Athletics, as it does on a daily basis, provided a short highlight video of Wednesday's practice on its YouTube page.

From the two-and-a-half minute clip, a few notable moments are worth noting:

- Corey Robinson had an excellent high-point reception against cornerback Lo Wood in one-on-one coverage. The son of former NBA star David Robinson will be a dangerous red-zone threat for the Irish in years to come. The 6'4", 197-pound Robinson is currently listed third on the depth chart at the X-receiver position, per IrishIllustrated.com.

- This was most likely the choice of the video editors, but Cam McDaniel was prominently featured twice. The sophomore running back displayed his pass-catching ability by snagging a pass in the flat. Currently listed third on the depth chart at running back, McDaniel's spot in the rotation may come into question once incoming freshmen Tarean Folston and Greg Bryant enter the fold in August.

- Cornerback KeiVarae Russell, a sophomore, battled receiver Chris Brown, a fellow sophomore, for a jump ball, but neither came down with it. Regardless, defensive coordinator Bob Diaco was satisfied with Russell's effort, as the two went in for a flying chest bump following the play.

Injury Report

- After being limited in practice sessions thus far while recovering from a sports hernia, defensive end Stephon Tuitt was back in action on Wednesday afternoon, per Eric Hansen of the South Bend Tribune.

- Running back Amir Carlisle, eight days removed from surgery to repair a broken collarbone, was "running around and taking handoffs, but not having contact," per Hansen.

- Outside linebacker Danny Spond was merely a spectator at Wednesday's practice, per Hansen, though no explanation was provided for his exclusion from practice.

Recruiting Update

- Jamarco Jones, rated as the nation's 94th overall prospect regardless of position in the 2014 class per Rivals.com, took in the Irish's practice on Wednesday. The 6'5", 285-pound offensive tackle out of De La Salle High School in Chicago boasts a slew of offers from programs around the nation, including Notre Dame.

- Kc McDermott, the nation's fifth-best offensive tackle in the 2014 class per Rivals.com and a Notre Dame target, committed to Miami on Tuesday. His selection of the Hurricanes shouldn't come as a surprise, as rumors had been swirling that McDermott had committed to the Hurricanes last week. The 6'6", 301-pound offensive tackle cited being close to his family and girlfriend as the chief reason behind his decision.
