WWE WrestleMania 29: 7 Questions to Be Answered at Tonight's Raw Event

0 of 7

Less than one week. Can you feel the excitement?

The cold winds blowing in New Jersey, the fans making plans across the country to see wrestling's biggest event. The wrestlers and wrestling personalities all preparing for the biggest night of the year. This is wrestling's version of the Oscars. It's the Super Bowl and Daytona 500 wrapped into one night.

And tonight is the "Go Home" event on Raw. Wrestling fans could not ask for a better night to begin the wrestling week. This is where everything comes together. Or at least we hope it comes together. There have been some hits and many misses along the way with this pay-per-view.

We can only hope this is not another Bret Hart/Yokozuna match happening before our eyes.

Here are some questions that must be answered tonight as WrestleMania moves forward.

What Happened to Antonio Cesaro?

1 of 7

Lost in the shuffle is arguably one of the best talents in the WWE and he does not have a dance partner at the event.

What is creative waiting for? Ryback would have been perfect, but we continually see Cesaro toiling in the mid card with nothing to show for it. Cesaro, if booked properly, could be one of the best heels in WWE history.

So far, it looks like he will be another buried talent along with the rest of the WWE has-beens.

Cesaro/Ryback would have rocked. So would have Sheamus. Let's hope Christian makes a surprise comeback to take on the United States Champion and bring the title home.

Will Brock Lesnar Make One Last Appearance?

This would be the time to see Lesnar and Paul Heyman at their most heinous time.

The need to antagonize Triple H. The need to threaten his future and his livelihood. The fact there could be a Stephanie McMahon sighting would be awesome.

    Please let that happen.

But Heyman needs to say something and Lesnar needs to do something that remains etched in our minds.

Will We See Anymore of the Hall of Fame Class on Raw?

3 of 7

I hope so. Mick Foley and Booker T are probably a given on tonight or any other night this week leading up to the big event.

I have a great idea, bring Trish Stratus on tonight, Wednesday or Friday. Want to boost ratings, keep us all enthused, then give us some eye candy.

We should see more of our soon to be Hall of Fame stars. Trish is the best way to help promote that. And since the Divas' Division could be heating up again, this would be a great way to start.

How Will the WWE Handle Reid Flair's Death?

4 of 7

Hopefully they won't dwell on it.

This is not a situation where Paul Bearer died. Ric Flair is a giant in this business, but other than a short segment of condolences, this is not something that we should spend a lot of time on because he was not part of the WWE landscape.

It is tragic and is wrong and the Flair family is going through a rough time, but hopefully this will be kept out of any storyline tonight.

Will We See Shawn Michaels?

5 of 7

    God, I hope so.

Mr. WrestleMania needs to inject some life into the party. He needs to show up, tear down the walls and take the Sunday events to a new level.

But if he has not shown up by now, do we really think he will tonight? Michaels just adds more to the drama of Triple H/Brock Lesnar. And in some ways, I wish he would cause his "friend" to lose the match, setting up heat between the two.

We all know that is not happening.

Who Else Will Be Added to the Dance Card?

6 of 7

There are some wrestlers who could be left off the landscape and it would not matter.

Fandango for one. Cesaro needs to be added, as I believe all titles must be defended in New Jersey. I also think the WWE should tease us a bit with possibilities.

Remember when wrestling was a mystery? This would be a golden opportunity to see that happen again.

What Will John Cena Have to Say?

7 of 7

Better yet, what will The Rock have to say?

The communication levels from this year's verbal jousting have been awful. Let's all hope the match is better. I don't see it knocking down the barn doors. I just see it being another wasted match.

After last week's awful "Debate" and Rock Bottom, John Cena must address the crowd and see what reaction he will get. It won't be great, but it will get some reaction, nonetheless.

I am also curious to see what will be done to promote a strong build until Sunday. Can we hang on what is said for the next six days?
