WWE WrestleMania 29: 7 Possible Stipulations for Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar

Adrian FylonenkoMar 13, 2013

A rematch between Triple H and Brock Lesnar will most likely take place at WrestleMania 29. However, the type of match these two WWE Superstars are going to be competing in has yet to be determined.

Last Monday night on Raw, Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar accepted Triple H's WrestleMania 29 challenge. This means the WWE Universe will be experiencing the second match between these two megastars in less than a year.

This time, the twist in the tale is that the menacing duo only agreed to Triple H's challenge if they are able to choose the stipulation. Also, Triple H (and the fans) will not know the stipulation until after he signs the contract for his match at WrestleMania.

Triple H hasn't agreed to the terms as of yet, but wwe.com says that the King of Kings will respond to Heyman and Lesnar next week on Raw.

I have a feeling that Triple H will accept any stipulation in order to get his hands on the man that injured his father-in-law.

So, what type of match are we going to see between Triple H and Brock Lesnar?

Here are seven ideal stipulations (ranked least likely to most likely) that could take place at WrestleMania 29.

Honorable Mention: First Blood Match

1 of 8

Since the WWE is rated TV-PG, a First Blood Match is not likely going to happen between the two behemoths at WrestleMania 29.

Triple H and Brock Lesnar went toe-to-toe an epic fight a few weeks ago on Raw. Judging by the commotion on Twitter, WWE fans, including myself, couldn't believe that Triple H was allowed to bust Lesnar open.

Reports say that Lesnar was not blading and that the blood was a result of a deep cut, but Triple H has done a good job incorporating the situation into their feud/storyline.

So far, there have been 8 First Blood matches in the WWE with the last one dating back to 2006.

A First Blood Match between Brock Lesnar and Triple H makes sense, but WWE's TV rating probably cuts that stipulation out of the equation.

Should the WWE be allowed to bend the rules at least once a year?

7. Submission Match

2 of 8

At SummerSlam 2012, Brock Lesnar defeated Triple H via submission and broke his arm. Because of that, a Submission Match is a capable stipulation for their match at WrestleMania 29.

However, the WWE has built Lesnar and Triple H into a hard-hitting, hardcore style feud, so a Submission Match may not be the best option.

Therefore, it comes in at No. 7 on the list.

Paul Heyman is one of the most brilliant and persuasive characters in the WWE. He knows that Triple H hasn't won a lot of matches by submission.

In fact, when it comes to wins/losses by submission, Triple H has an overall record of 5-12.

Considering Lesnar's MMA background and recent success against Triple H, a Submission Match could be the stipulation at WrestleMania.

6. Lesnar Wins, Heyman Is New General Manager of Raw

3 of 8

Less than a month ago, Paul Heyman was on the verge of being fired before Brock Lesnar came to save his loyal manager and mentor. After WrestleMania, could the manipulative mastermind be the new General Manager of Raw?

Let's face it, Vickie Guerrero has been a disappointing Raw Managing Supervisor. Her voice is extremely annoying and Vickie is best when she is managing WWE Superstars.

We are witnessing a personal feud between Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar because Vince McMahon and Paul Heyman are heavily involved. Lesnar attacking Vince McMahon brought Triple H out of semi-retirement, so this feud feels even more meaningful.

Lesnar has signed a two-year deal with WWE, so it doesn't seem like he's going anywhere anytime soon. On the other hand, the WWE (mainly Vince McMahon) has been teasing Paul Heyman's termination for some time now. What better way to get back at Vince McMahon by becoming the new General Manager of Raw?

Paul Heyman has experience as a General Manager. In 2003, he took over for Stephanie McMahon as the GM of SmackDown. Heyman's GM stint lasted about two years.

If Lesnar wins, Heyman is the new General Manager of Raw is a possible stipulation, but the WWE would have to find a new role for current GM Vickie Guerrero. Also, would Heyman still manage Lesnar?

Multiple things would need to change in order for Heyman to become the new GM of Raw, therefore, this stipulation comes in at No. 6 on the list.

5. Hell in a Cell Match

4 of 8

Triple H is synonymous with Hell in a Cell matches, therefore, Heyman and Lesnar might not want to name that as their WrestleMania 29 stipulation.

However, the duo may be viewing the match as an advantage for Lesnar.

Remember, Triple H lost a memorable Hell in a Cell Match against The Undertaker at WrestleMania 28. This is important because Lesnar has a Hell in a Cell victory over The Undertaker.

So, does a Hell in a Cell Match favor Lesnar or Triple H?

At No Mercy 2002, Lesnar defeated The Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell match for the WWE Championship. Yes, the victory took place over a decade ago, but a Hell in a Cell victory over The Deadman is no easy task.

The fact that Triple H has won six of his nine Hell in a Cell Matches tells me that this type of match is not going to happen. Therefore, the Hell in a Cell stipulation comes in at No. 5 on the list.

4. Falls Count Anywhere Match

5 of 8

A Falls Count Anywhere Match is one of the most entertaining professional wrestling matches because it has a sense of unpredictability from start to finish.

If Brock Lesnar wants to end Triple H's career for good, this type of match would be the perfect stipulation in order to do so.

A Falls Count Anywhere Match pretty much explains itself;the only way to win is by pinfall. Also, you are able to pin your opponent virtually anywhere in the arena. There has also been a Submissions Count Anywhere Match that debuted at Breaking Point 2009.

When it comes to Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar, a Falls/Submissions Count Anywhere Match would be a realistic stipulation considering that their feud has been extremely violent.

We may not know the stipulation, but one thing's for sure, Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 29 is going to be personal and violent.

With a Falls Count Anywhere Match, the possibilities are endless.

3. MMA Style Match

6 of 8
"

"It was reported earlier today (March 12) that WWE officials are considering a MMA-style fight for the Brock Lesnar vs. Triple H match at WrestleMania 29 in just a few weeks".

"

Former UFC Champion Brock Lesnar vs. WWE Superstar Triple H in a MMA-style match at WrestleMania 29? Not really sure how that would go down, but that type of match/stipulation would definitely give Lesnar the edge.

As most of you know, Brock Lesnar left the WWE in order to pursue a career in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Lesnar was gone from 2004-2011 and achieved a great amount of success as a fighter.

If an MMA-style match is scheduled to take place, perhaps a small portion of MMA fans will be encouraged to order WrestleMania 29?

I am not a fan of MMA, but this type of match has me intrigued. If you have MMA knowledge, please leave a comment explaining how this match would be set up and how the rules would work.

Would the match take place in a WWE ring, or an MMA cage?

2. Lesnar Wins, Triple H Retires

7 of 8

Paul Heyman told the WWE Universe that Brock Lesnar was going to make Triple H tap out and end his career at SummerSlam 2012.. Lesnar did indeed make Triple H tap out to the Kimura Lock, but The Game's career is still intact.

Within the last 11 years, two of Triple H's closest friends (Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels) have lost in career-threatening matches at WrestleMania. Will Lesnar be the man to end Triple H's career for good?

Since Triple H was teasing retirement after his loss to Lesnar at SummerSlam, a career-threatening stipulation at WrestleMania 29 is a realistic possibility.

If Heyman and Lesnar decide to put Triple H's career on the line, The Next Big Thing would have a second chance to make his manager proud.

Considering Triple H is the COO of the WWE and has suffered a variety of serious injuries, a career-threatening stipulation is a strong candidate for Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar II at WrestleMania 29.

1. No Holds Barred/No Disqualification Match

8 of 8

Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 29 has a strong chance of being a No Holds Barred/No Disqualification Match because of the way this feud has developed.

The brief fight between Triple H and Brock Lesnar on Raw had everybody talking. Both Superstars were brawling back and forth with one another until Triple H got the best of the youngest WWE champion in history.

Due to their surroundings, Lesnar was busted open by the ring post and would require stitches shortly after the segment was over.

In order to keep that momentum and energy going, Triple H and Brock Lesnar need to be in a No Holds Barred/No Disqualification Match at WrestleMania 29.

A No Holds Barred Match is the same type of match as a Street Fight or No Disqualification Match. Also, the only difference between a No Holds Barred Match and a Falls Count Anywhere Match is that the deciding pinfall must take place in the ring.

If Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar decide on a No Holds Barred Match as their stipulation, there would be an infinite amount of possibilities.

A No Holds Barred Match can be violent and straight forward, or be filled with interference and controversy. The unpredictability would make this an intriguing stipulation for Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar II at WrestleMania 29.

What type of match will Triple H and Brock Lesnar have at WrestleMania 29? Do you agree with any of the stipulations in the slideshow? If so, which ones make the most sense? Sound off in the comments section below.
