NHL 2K9 Playoffs Simulation 2009

PuckpassionCorrespondent IApril 13, 2009

I’ve just got done simulating all the 2009 NHL playoff teams in tournament mode on NHL 2K9. With every playoff team I did a complete overhaul of roster updating, including player stats which needed some tweaking as well, so this was done as legit as possible.

Here were the results..

Eastern Conference

Quarterfinals
Boston defeated Montreal in four games.
Washington defeated the New York Rangers in six games.
Carolina defeated New Jersey in seven games
Pittsburgh defeated Philadelphia in five games

Semifinals
Boston defeated Carolina in five games
Washington defeated Pittsburgh in six games

Conference finals
Boston defeated Washington in six games

Western Conference

Quarterfinals
Anaheim defeated San Jose in six games
Detroit defeated Columbus in five games
St. Louis defeated Vancouver in seven games
Chicago defeated Calgary in five games

Semifinals
Anaheim defeated Detroit in six games
St. Louis defeated Chicago in six games

Conference finals
Anaheim defeated St. Louis in five games

Stanley Cup final
Boston defeated Anaheim in seven games

Top point producer: Ryan Getzlaf, Anaheim Ducks (9 goals, 25 assists, 34 points)

Since this is tournament mode I can’t assume a Conn Smythe winner.
