While ABC's hit show Dancing with the Stars has always borrowed extensively from the world of athletics when compiling its cast, the latest iteration will feature four athletes: Aly Raisman, Victor Ortiz, Jacoby Jones and Dorothy Hamill.
Olympic gold medal gymnast and Needham native Aly Raisman will be part of the cast of the next edition of ABC's hit TV show "Dancing with the Stars."
The official cast list was revealed on Tuesday's edition of Good Morning America. Raisman will join fellow sports stars Jacoby Jones, a receiver for the Baltimore Ravens, boxer Victor Ortiz, and ice skating legend Dorothy Hamill on the show's 16th season.

The four come into the competition with a legacy to uphold, as seven athletes (Donald Driver, Hines Ward, Shawn Johnson, Kristi Yamaguchi, Hélio Castroneves, Apolo Anton Ohno and Emmitt Smith) have all taken home top honors.
Jones has to represent the NFL, which has three winners in the competition and three runners-up (Jerry Rice, Jason Taylor and Warren Sapp).
One thing is for certain: Jones will bring a distinctive flair to this competition. For anyone who has seen his touchdown celebrations, he doesn't lack for originality.
Raisman will be looking to become just the second gymnast to win the competition, while Ortiz will be hoping he can become the first boxer to dance his way to victory.
Hamill, who won an Olympic gold medal in figure skating in 1976, will attempt to become the second figure skater to win.
Don't be surprised if one of these four athletes takes home the top prize. My money is on Raisman, but I think Jones could sneak up on some people.
Then again, if his dancing moves are anything like his touchdown celebrations, he'll be chock-full of surprises in this competition.
