The Shield is currently undefeated in WWE with a 3-0 record from wins at WWE TLC 2012, WWE Elimination Chamber 2013 and Raw the following night.

Each time, the group defeated a different combination of three Superstars. As we get closer to WrestleMania 29, WWE fans are wondering: Who will be The Shield’s opponents for the show of shows?

Better yet, who should be the group’s opponents?

Since we have yet to witness a non-six-man tag match involving The Shield, chances are we still won’t see Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins in any singles matches. Chances are we will see yet another six-man tag match at WrestleMania 29.

With that said, there seems to be only two situations that could come to fruition as it relates to The Shield’s opponents at WrestleMania 29.

Ryback, Sheamus, Chris Jericho, Randy Orton

When it comes to these four WWE Superstars, only three would actually make it into the match. Ryback and Sheamus have multiple losses against The Shield, while Chris Jericho has one. Randy Orton has yet to have an official match against The Shield, but he has been attacked by the group in the past. Plus, Orton sneaked into the ring this past week on Raw and delivered an RKO to Seth Rollins.

The most likely scenario would see Ryback, Jericho and Orton. I am excluding Sheamus here because it seems as though he may have begun a feud with Intercontinental champion Wade Barrett. When Sheamus, or any Superstar for that matter, is seen in multiple feuds on the same night at Raw it becomes difficult to predict which match he will participate in.

Chris Jericho was absent on this episode of Raw so WWE may have chosen to use Sheamus again for that reason.

Ryback is the only Superstar with three losses against The Shield, so he needs to be involved in the match. Ryback was seen frustrated following the last two contests against the group. Feed him Shield.

The Undertaker, Team Hell No

The only other situation that could come to fruition involves Team Hell No and The Undertaker. The Shield’s first win was against Ryback and Team Hell No. While some WWE fans may believe that Kane and Daniel Bryan are destined to square off against one another—and they may be right—WWE has been teasing this for months.

Team Hell No is not feuding with any one particular tag team, but more so each other right now. If WWE chooses to continue the partnership past WrestleMania, the WWE Tag Team champions could enlist Kane’s brother, The Undertaker, for assistance.

The Undertaker recently returned to WWE at a house show, but was absent from this past week’s Raw. It seems as though Undertaker will face CM Punk at WrestleMania, but that feud has yet to begin as well.

There have been questions regarding The Undertaker’s health as it relates to competing at WrestleMania 29. One way to have The Undertaker compete at WrestleMania, but limit his in-ring time, is to book this six-man tag match.
