Watch Kobe Bryant Deliver Emotional Jerry Buss Tribute in Pregame vs. Celtics

Jesse DorseyJun 2, 2018

The Los Angeles Lakers paid tribute to their recently departed owner Dr. Jerry Buss before Wednesday night's game against the Boston Celtics, complete with an emotional look back with Kobe Bryant and a heartfelt moment of silence.

"

Kobe choked up addressing the crowd about Jerry Buss. I see a big game coming.

As the crowd fell silent, a slightly emotional Kobe looked back at the vision that Dr. Buss had throughout his days with the Lakers, speaking of his constant desire to not only put a winning team on the court, but one that would also be recognizable worldwide.

Bryant finished up his speech with a look up at the seat Dr. Buss would sit in for home games as the crowd fell silent.

The Lakers also put up an extended video tribute before the game, and aside from the cheesy Green Day song, it was quite heartfelt and interesting.

If Jim Buss ends up being half the owner that his father was in his decades with the Lakers, the franchise will be in good hands.
