WWE Overusing Superstars and Killing Young Talent

Watching WrestleMania XXV made me realize how old and overused some superstars are becoming.

First of all let’s go over the Triple H vs. Randy Orton match.

After over six to seven weeks of building hype for this match, you could just feel how bored the crowd at ‘Mania was, but not for the match itself but because of the superstars on it.

Both Triple H and Orton might be the top guys in the WWE today but that doesn’t mean they are going to rise the same heat they did last year or during their Evolution storyline confrontation.

These guys have fought in all types of matches in all types of situations, but you can notice the audience is just tired to see these two fight, because there is no more evolution for these two.

Orton is really being wasted because right now, he is WWE´s top heel. Triple H might still raise the bar in some occasions but not anymore with Orton.

The John Cena vs. Edge feud is wrongfully still going on, with a match between the two at WWE’s next pay-per-view, Backlash. I mean come on. After all the confrontations these two had back in 2006 there is no more ground for this rivalry to grow but to bore the audience.

I really believe Cena should be used to get new superstars to the top. But with Edge, it is really different because still has main-event talent.

Superstars like CM Punk, MVP, Christian, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Mr. Kennedy (I still believe in him), Shelton Benjamin, Morrison, Carlito, and Evan Bourne should become the new generation of main eventers.

It´s true these guys are too young still to be in that picture but if you combine them with the "old" superstars you get really nice results.

One example was last year´s Undertaker-Edge feud, which is at the top of WWE’s 2008 feuds.

CM Punk cashing Money in the Bank did not have a lot of impact with the fans, because he was feuding with mid-card wrestlers, not counting Batista.

Christian’s return could have been something WWE desperately needs right now, but they screwed it up by putting him in ECW. Christian should have won the Money in the Bank match.

Money In The Bank is a perfect example of what happens when you mix experience with young talent; they are 10-star matches.

I believe these should be the new feuds for this 2009, as well as two wrestlers that should form a tag team.

1) Orton feuding with CM Punk for the WWE title.

2) John Cena feuding with Batista.

3) Batista feuding with Orton (this was getting really interesting but Batista’s injury was the problem).

4) Bourne and Rey Mysterio should become a tag team.

5) Triple H feuding with Edge, but in a more intense way/

6) Shawn Michaes feuding with Undertaker should go on at least ‘til SummerSlam (an old but memorable feud).

7) MVP feuding with Triple H.

8) Big Show feuding with Umaga or Kane.

9) Morrison feuding with Carlito.

10) Orton feuding with Edge (It would be a great WrestleMania XXVI main event).
