Troy Tulowitzki (Col SS)—Troy went yard for the second game in a row. Could be a come back year for Tulowitzki.

Matt Holliday (OAK OF)—Holliday missed Tuesday nights game because of illness. Holliday played through it on opening day.

Jorge Cantu (Fla 3B)—Cantu left Wednesday's game after being hit on the hand by a pitch. X-rays were negative.

Willy Taveras (Cin OF)—Taveras has been ill, but is expected to play on Thursday.

Ichiro Suzuki (Sea OF)—Suzuki will be the DH in extended spring training on Thursday.

Brandon Webb (Ari SP)—Webb will miss his start on Saturday due to stiffness in his right shoulder.

Geovany Soto (Cubs C)—Soto felt discomfort in his shoulder after a throw in Tuesday's game. He may return next series.

Garrett Atkins (Col 3B)—Atkins went 0-4 on Wednesday and has now started the season 0-11.

Tim Lincecum (SF SP)—Lincecum was lifted early on opening day as a precaution and is not injured.

Placido Polanco (DET 2B)—Polanco will be given the day of on Thursday to rest. Guess the whole 3 days of the season have been tiring.

Vladimir Guerrero (LAA OF)—Vlady will stick to DH until this weekend due to chest soreness.

Joe Mauer (MIN C)—On the DL with a bad back, Mauer has begun hitting off a tee and catching bullpen sessions.

Ervin Santana (LAA SP)—Santana should start throwing off a mound in about 5 days.

Chipper Jones (ATL 3B)—Chipper scratched from Wednesday's game with a bruised thumb. Jones should be back for the home opener on Friday.
