WWE RAW Rewind: Animal Unleashed:

Ron Johnson@TLCCaptainSenior Writer IApril 7, 2009

The show opens up with the arrival of Legend Killer, Randy Orton.

Orton comes down showing the bruises and scars from his brutal match with Triple H at WrestleMania. Orton says that he’s sickened by Triple H still being champion and the fact that everyone enjoyed it. He vows that he will get his rematch with The Game.

Orton claims that everyone owes him that rematch: The WWE, The McMahons and The WWE Universe.

As Orton makes idle threats, the Boss is back! Vince struts down to the ring to confront Orton, but the Legend Killer refuses to stick around the fight. McMahon makes it clear that he will not give Orton another championship match.

For the hell he put the McMahon family through, Orton is put in a match with The Legacy at Backlash against…The McMahons! Orton begins to call McMahon a coward, but McMahon calls him nothing more than a failure.

An irate Orton decides to challenge Vince McMahon to a match tonight. Despite the fear of being put in a coma, Vince accepts the challenge.

WWE Unified Tag Team Championship Lumberjack Match

The Dirt Sheet vs. The Colons

The new Unified Tag Champions get the early offensive, but it is the Lumberjacks that get the fun part as they beat John Morrison to the ground before tossing him back into the ring.

Back on the program, The Dirt Sheet gets control of the match thanks to some interference from The Miz. But Carlito is able to get control with a spinning neck breaker. On the top rope, both men take a tumble to the Lumberjacks. As the Jacks get some shots in, Morrison pulls a huge 450 on the Jacks.

After a couple of close calls, The Miz gets caught with The Backstabber to take the defeat for the Dirt Sheet. The Colons leave Houston still the WWE Unified Tag Team Champions.

In the back, Shane is trying to figure out why his dad accepted the challenge of Randy Orton. Vince makes it clear that if The Legacy makes their way down to ringside, he knows that he’ll have backup of his own.

Ten Diva RAW vs. SmackDown Tag Team Match

Melina, Jillian, Mickie James, Layla & Kelly Kelly vs. Maryse, Gail Kim, Maria, Natalya & Eve

Melina and Gail Kim start the match with the Women’s Champion and former Knockouts Champion going counter for counter on each other. Melina goes on the outside, and Maryse gets a few shots in the process. Natalya comes in and levels the Women’s Champion.

Mickie manages to get a tag in and takes the fight to Natalya with a Lou Thesz Press. Natalya tosses Layla to the outside that prompts a Divas Brawl, while Mickie James hits a top rope DDT on Natalya to get the victory for the RAW Divas.

In the back, Shane McMahon is talking to Triple H about talking some sense into Vince about Backlash!

WrestleMania All Star Tag Team Match

Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio, CM Punk, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat & John Cena vs. Edge, Big Show, Kane, Chris Jericho & Matt Hardy

Rey and Matt start off the match without Mysterio managing to bring in Jeff Hardy. Matt scurries off to the corner and tags in Edge.

After a modified takedown, Hardy tags in Cena. Cena hits a face buster followed by an arm wrench before tagging in Hall of Famer Ricky Steamboat. Steamboat lands a cross body, Edge rakes the eyes and brings in Kane. Steamboat takes down Kane, Jericho, Matt Hardy and Edge before dropping the flying tomahawk on The Big Red Monster.

Jericho gets some shots in before bringing in an irate Big Show. Big Show comes in and shows pure dominance on a resilient Steamboat. Jericho returns to the ring and starts pushing Steamboat around before locking in a rear naked choke.

Steamboat regains composure and lands some punches, but Jericho counters it into The Walls of Jericho. Steamboat manages to reverse it into a small package. Following the near fall, he manages to tag in CM Punk, who comes in and hits the corner knee before getting dropped by Kane.

Back on the program, Kane is continuing to punish the 2x Money In the Bank winner. Matt Hardy comes in and is actually doing some double teaming with Edge. The former World Heavyweight Champion tags in his wife’s lover, Big Show. Show comes in and delivers some chops.

Constant tags allows Team Edge to keep control, but a DDT allows Punk to tag in Jeff Hardy. Hardy unleashes another portion of that fury followed by the Whisper in the Wind, and he then focuses on his brother, Matt.

Cena comes in and takes the fight to Edge as Jeff dives onto Matt. He then tags in Rey Mysterio who hit’s a Double 619 on Jericho and Edge. Steamboat comes in a delivers a cross body on Edge as Jericho gets a taste of the West Coast Splash as Rey gets the victory for Team Cena. After the bell, Steamboat is given the spotlight as his teammates leave the ring and give him the time to shine.

In the back, Triple H tries to talk some sense into Vince…but instead he tells his father in law that he is proud of him and tells him to finish it tonight!

Back on the program, Vickie Guerrero comes out to Houston to announce that she will be the permanent GM of RAW. She calls RAW stale and also says that Edge will face Cena for the World Heavyweight Championship at Backlash.

She continues to announce that the six-man tag team match at Backlash between The Legacy and The McMahons will now be for the WWE Championship. She returns and announces that the match between Edge and Cena will now be a Last Man Standing Match.

Don’t forget: Thursday April 16th is the premiere of WWE Superstars on WGN America!

Intermission: The arrival of Santina Marella

Santina comes down and starts to talk about “her” future plans now that she has won the Miss WrestleMania. Unfortunately, the celebration is short lived as Beth Phoenix and Rosa Mendes come down to confront “Santina.”

Santina continues to play the role, but Beth Phoenix is in no laughing mood. The Glamazon issues a challenge to Santina for a match tonight. After a question of womanhood…and manhood, Santina accepts the challenge and calls for a referee.

Beth Phoenix vs. “Santina” Marella

Before the match, “Santina” starts strutting her stuff for the Houston crowd once again. Beth Phoenix starts slugging it out with the Miss WrestleMania winner. Phoenix tries for a power slam, but Santina counters it into modified pin to get the victory and go 2-0 against The Glamazon.

Main Event

Randy Orton vs. Mr. McMahon

McMahon starts off with a series of slaps before putting the fight in the corner. McMahon takes the fight to the outside and continues beating the hell out of the man who threatened the McMahon grandchildren. But back in the ring, Orton gets control with a dropping knee drop. Orton goes for the RKO and delivers it to his boss.

But instead of going for the cover, Orton just stands over McMahon and prepares to gun for the punt. But before he could drop it, Shane comes in and drops Orton. But Legacy comes down and saves their boss.

But all of a sudden, Triple H comes down to take the fight to Legacy. Legacy gets the upper hand and just when all looks bleak, Batista makes his shocking return and delivers a huge Batista Bomb to Cody Rhodes.

After the bell, Vince tells Orton that he will not make it Backlash…but taking his place will be: Batista! An irate Orton looks on as The Game, Shane O’Mac and Batista stare a hole in them.
