I just witnessed another fantastic WrestleMania. A match of the year winner between The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels as The Phenom extends to 17-0. Triple H defended his family's honor and the WWE Championship against Randy Orton. Matt Hardy walked out of his brother's shadow in a hellacious extreme rules match, while Jeff extends his WrestleMania losing streak to 0-6.
The one thing I look forward to at WrestleMania is Money in the Bank. I feel as if it's a match to award the superstar that has worked hard and it time to give them their big break.
I was a little irked last year when CM Punk won Money in the Bank, but tonight when I saw him grab that briefcase, I was shocked and mad at the same time. I guess you could say I was "shomad". And yes, I did just make that word up.
I strongly believe that Money in the Bank should be reserved for people who have worked their butts off and gave their everything in the squared circle...like Shelton Benjamin.
I praise Shelton Benjamin because he is the most athletically gifted wrestler in pro wrestling! We're talking about a man that beat Triple H. He pinned The Game! He's had classic matches with Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle, and recently with MVP.
By the way, he also defeated Ric Flair to become a two time Intercontinental Champion, which also made him the first African American to hold the title on two occasions.
Now CM Punk, who came in WWE in 2006, then in 2008 won the Money in the Bank and won, I mean, was handed the World Heavyweight Championship. Shelton, whose been with WWE since 2002, should have been a multi-time World Champion by now!
I think it sucks how CM Punk was handed his World Title and he shouldn't embrace that he won he should actually be quite ashamed of how he hasn't put in work like Shelton Benjamin.
But you know who I really feel bad for...Kane. Who'll ever forget his dominate 24-hour reign as WWE Champion back in 1997. WWE continues to whore Kane. Let's hope he doesn't become an enhancer like Barry Horowitz.
Christian has to start from scratch because he left, if he wouldn't have left WWE, he would have been a perfect candidate to win Money in the Bank as well.
Like I said, I think the Money in the Bank briefcase should be awarded to people who have worked their butts off.
I really hope someone challenges CM Punk for the briefcase and wins it from him. I don't have anything against Punk, but last year and now just isn't the time for The Punker.
