On Monday evening, WWE tweeted out a pre-surgery picture of Vince McMahon.

For those of you that don't know, McMahon underwent hip surgery Monday afternoon.

About a week ago, Vinnie-Mac was a recipient int of an F-5, courtesy of a returning Brock Lesnar. As far as WWE storylines go, Lesnar broke McMahon's hip with the move, forcing the "Chairman" to have surgery on the injured hip.

In real life, McMahon had been working with a bum hip for some time now and finally got around to doing something about it. Now, as we all know, it's Wrestling 101 to "injure" a star in order to explain his or her absence from TV. Unfortunately, for McMahon, the same rule applies to the boss, so he took one for the team.

Now, back to the topic at hand. The picture was hilarious and a bit reminiscent of the Attitude Era. Ultimately, the picture shows the "Chairman" in an operation gown with a smile flipping the bird to the camera.

Personally, I am glad to see that the boss and his company didn't take the photo seriously. As they could have easily continued on with the poor Mr. McMahon storyline. Instead, McMahon decided to have some fun with it and give WWE's Twitter follower's a laugh.

Unfortunately, as of this article, WWE.com, has yet to post an update on McMahon's post-surgery condition. Which also means, there is no time frame for McMahon's TV return.

Ultimately, I would like to see McMahon in Triple H's corner at WrestleMania 29. Leading up to the event, he could keep playing up the injury angle and miraculously find the strength to screw Lesnar, giving his son-in-law the win.

Keep in mind, we have a few month's of build up in order to get to "The Grandaddy of Them All." So who knows what the company has in store for this rivalry. In the end, I guess we will have to wait and see how this story unfolds.
