Joe Burgett Apr 5, 2009

The Secret Life of a Pro-Wrestler may be something no one has ever seen. We see what goes on storyline wise for TV or events. But we never see what goes on to make all of that possible.

We also do not know what the wrestler's life is like. Is it hard or is it easy? We will find out here in the Secret Life of a Pro-Wrestler.

If you have not seen the entire series, I ask you to do so. But to better understand this certain one, I ask you to check out Part 11:

Now to Part 12 of the Secret Life of a Pro-Wrestler

Eric Escobar and myself seem to have caught attention. We had our match with the New Hart Foundation and people loved us. So they continued to let us wrestle together and have us in line for a Tag Title opportunity.

We have been wrestling for the past few weeks with other teams for the FCW shows. We had about four matches and won them all. So with that said we did deserve a tag title opportunity soon.

Escobar and myself went to train a little more in the ring to better our holds and tighten up our offense.

We were caught by one of the bookers on our way there who told us we would be in line for a tag title match after this week. But we would make an appearance this week and do some sort of segment with the champs Drew McIntyre and Jon Cutler.

We did not know what the segment  was going to be yet. Would we attack them? Would we just do a little talking? We would have no clue for a few days.

It seemed as if we would get the titles. We knew that the current holders of the titles had held them for some time now. Approximately 5 months. Which meant they did have a long reign and needed to lose them at some point.

They were heels too, which made it easier for us to face them. We were a face team of course, so with that said a really good rivalry could be possible.

We would have to see, but I knew we would look good in front of the fans.

Escobar and I realized that both Cutler and McIntyre were in the FCW arena practicing. So since we knew we were going to have a match with them, we decided to go ahead and get in the ring with them and practice.

We knew that we were not going to have a match this week, and McIntyre and Cutler were not going to be in a match either.

They were going to do a segment, but that was it. And of course as we found out before Escobar and myself were going to interrupt it.

So we talked a little together about things we could possibily do next week and even got ready for the show this week with possible ideas

Thursday, showtime

The day had arrived, we had memorized what we were going to do for the segment we were in. And what we were going to do.

I was pumped because this was my first step to gold. Also I had Escobar, and I could not think of another person I wanted to be my partner.

I knew we were going to make an impact tonight. It was just a matter of time.

About an hour passed and both Cutler and McIntyre made their way into the ring. The idea was that Escobar's music would hit, he would come out and talk first.

Escobar came out and interrupted the segment the tag champs were putting on. He said that he wanted to officially ask for a tag title opportunity. They accepted.

Escobar said "There is one thing that you will have to do. Pray to God and remember to keep your eye on the heavens." And he pointed right behind them and said "look up."

I had managed to sneak behind the ring and jumped up to the top turnbuckle. When they turned around I did my patented Moonsault I call the Halo! right on top of them both.

I grabbed the mic from Escobar and said "See you next week"

Then we left the arena, and the show was over.

I went backstage and we were told that we did a good job by many of the bookers and writers. McIntyre and Cutler came back and said we did great in the segment. They did too because they sold the move very well I think.

Our match was next week, we would practice a little with them during the week before the match next Thursday.

Seven days later, FCW show and Tag Team Championship Match

We practiced with the current tag champs, Cutler and McIntyre during the week. We had a great match to do for the crowd.  And both Escobar and I were supposed to win tonight.

Would the crowd like it? Well we will have to wait and see

Fast forward to Main Event Tag Title Match

Now this match was long, about 20 minutes. So I am only going to hit the highlights to keep it short.

Eric and I came out the ring, and we were followed by the Tag Champs McIntyre and Cutler.

I started along with Cutler.

He came to shake my hand, and when I went to shake his he punched me in the face. I did not take it well and gave him a right of my own.

I kicked him in the face soon after, he managed to tag in McIntyre who hit me with a clothesline. I rolled to my corner and tagged in Escobar who came in hot with a few clotheslines of his own.

He hit McIntyre with a big boot and then knocked Cutler off the corner to the floor. He then hit a brainbuster on McIntyre.

He was attacked from behind but Cutler. He grabbed him and threw him out to the floor. Cutler turned around and I hit him with a Super Kick to the face.

McIntyre got up and and hit me with a big boot to the face. I rolled to the outside. Escobar had managed to make his way back in.

McIntyre saw him and went to hit a clothesline on him. Escobar ducked and made his way behind McIntyre to hit an Impaler.

I made my way around to the ring apron. Escobar tagged me and I went up to hit the Halo!

I hit it and went for the pin, Cutler came to break it up and Escobar cut him off. Escobar grabbed him and threw him over the top rope. And I got the 1, 2, 3.

We won the FCW Tag Team Championship!

We were on cloud nine. The crowd loved it and cheered so loud the rook seemed to come off of the FCW Arena.

I had my first title, and was so excited. I knew we would have a long reign, we were going to be the best tag team FCW ever saw or so I thought

The next day I was approached by a booker and writer. They told me Escobar and I would lose the tag titles this week.

I asked them why I we had to lose the titles right after we got them, it made no sense. They told me to ask Escobar about it.

I called Escobar and he told me to meet him at the arena later.

We met and he told me that he had been called up to the WWE's main roster. I was excited for him because I knew how long he has been in the developmental program for the WWE.

He deserved it more than anyone.

He said that he would be going to the ECW roster in two weeks, which meant we had to lose the tag team titles. He could not stay in FCW with a title if he got called up.

He just found out the day after we won the titles.

Although happy for him, I was going to lose a mentor and friend. At least until I got called up anyway. Which could be years.

But once again, I was left out in the cold. Once I get something good I always seem to have it blow up in my face.

Was my entire career going to be like this?
