Batter Gives Up Mid-AB 🤔

Travis Snider: AL Rookie of the Year?

Chris GilmoreApr 1, 2009

Travis Snider is having a great spring for the Toronto Blue Jays.

This OPS monster, who mashed his way through the minor leagues hitting for average and power, is due for a shot at the big league club this year.

His spring training home run off off the Phillies' No. 2 starter, Brett Myers, might be a sign that he can indeed adjust to major league pitching.

Adjustments have never been a problem for this Blue Jay phenom.

Last season, Snider played at four different levels of baseball and managed to keep his offensive numbers steady during the transition. Scouts, management personnel, and teammates rave about his maturity and work ethic.

Snider’s main attribute is power, and he has it to spare.

I fully expect him to pick up where he left off in the minors and produce runs at the major league level. A guy with his make-up normally handles new levels of competition extremely well and I would be very surprised to see him falter.

I never apply the “can’t miss” tag, but if anyone in the minors has earned it, it's Travis Snider.
