So the 25th Anniversary of Wrestlemania is coming up, but with the matches already named, will it live up to the hype and legacy of Wrestlemania?
Chris Jericho vs. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, Jimmy "The Superfly" Snuka, and Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat w/ Ric Flair and Micky Rourke
Now, obviously, Chris Jericho has had quite a comeback since turning heel...He's had two World Championships, an epic feud with Shawn Michaels and recently has cut amazing promos against the Legends.
Chris should win this match to further boost his career, but I believe he will lose after interference from either Stone Cold Steve Austin or Micky Rourke (possibly dressed as Robby "The Ram" Robinson).
JBL (C) vs. Rey Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship
After Monday night's Raw, I have to pick JBL to win this match because ofthe rumors of JBL's retirement, his special announcement, and Rey being drafted to Smackdown. I forsee two possiblities:
1. He retains and then announces his retirement, still in possession of the IC Title, making it vacant.
2. He loses to Rey or retains, but after MVP wins MITB, he buys it from him and cashes it in later that night against the winning John Cena.
Carlito and Primo vs. The Miz and Morrison in a Lumberjack Tag Title Unification
With the push that Morrison and Miz have gotten, I foresee them winning it...but dropping the titles to Legacy to further their push. Then again, the Colon's could win and drop the titles to Legacy as well.
25 Diva Battle Royal
Lots of chicks and some blasts from the past...it'll be good, but just because of all the divas. Otherwise, totally pointless.
Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy Extreme Rules
This Match has the Potential to be a great match if they are able to pull off the brotherly hatred. In the end, I foresee Matt pulling out a victory and continuing their feud, possibly culminating to the birth place of TLC: Summerslam!
MITB: Finlay vs. Mark Henry vs. Kane vs. MVP vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Christian vs. Kofi Kingston vs. CM Punk
With this match, I foresee three possible winners:
MVP—With the possible scenario I mentioned earlier, I could see him winning it and wanting that large sum JBL offers. I could also see him finally getting a push after that losing streak he dealt with. But with him being U.S. Champion, I don't see it.
Christian—He's made his return, he's on a roll and the fans really want to see him get this push that he should've gotten when he was in WWE back in the day. But with Vince not very fond of Captain Charisma, I don't see this being a charasmatic win for Christian.
Shelton Benjamin—After his loss of the U.S. Title to MVP, the odds are in Benjamin's favor, especially since each year the winners have gone heel, face, heel, face. This year's due for a heel, and Benjamin's been waiting patiently for his shot at the Big One. I see Mr. Gold Standard becoming Mr. Money In The Bank.
The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels
No question, one of the show stealers right here. The build-up towards this match has been phenomenal. We have seen some vintage HBK promos, but one too many.
If Monday night would have been an Undertaker promo like it said, I could still see a chance of HBK winning, but it became another Michaels promo, and I can't see HBK winning. So, the Deadman's gonna finally beat Mr. Wrestlemania and become 17-0!!
Edge vs. Big Show vs. John Cena for the World Title
Honestly, one of the worst main events I've ever seen, especially with the stupid love triangle thrown in...
I see this match as a bathroom break, and the winner will most likely be John Cena. But if Orton wins the title, then both titles will be on Raw. So I see Shelton (or JBL, see above if confused) cashing in that night after a pissed Big Show knocks Cena out (or Edge for spearing him).
Randy Orton vs. Triple H for the WWE Championship
One of the most personal rivalries I've seen since Jericho/Michaels. The ongoing attacks and beatdowns have just drawn you into the story, and I predict this fairy tale for Triple H ends this night. Here are some possiblities:
1. Orton gets clean win...unlikely, but would still be shocking.
2. After Vince and Shane return, they are ringside and make it a No DQ match. During the match, Rhodes and DiBiase take out Shane and Vince, but Steph runs in with a weapon, and just as she's about to hit Orton, she turns and nails Triple H with it, joining Legacy and screwing Triple H.
3. Same as above, only Shane joins the Legacy instead of Steph.
4. Ref Gets knocked out, Vince puts on ref shirt, and screws Triple H and joins Legacy.
