Wow, what a day yesterday!
The Big East has been the best conference all season, and with four of the eight teams remaining being Big East powers, they have definitely not let anyone down.
The rematch of an early season beat down, where Nova really dominated Pitt, should be the best game of the four Elite Eight contests. Craig has this game as being very close, and in fact this game might go down as one of the better Elite Eight games ever.
Villanova: 29-7 SU, 18-14 ATS
Pittsburgh: 31-4 SU, 17-12 ATS
-Wildcats are 4-1 ATS in their last five NCAA Tournament games as an underdog.
-Wildcats are 15-7 ATS in their last 22 neutral site games as an underdog.
-Panthers are 0-4 ATS in their last four NCAA Tournament games.
-Panthers are 0-4 ATS in their last four games overall.
There is not a better match up in the Elite Eight than the Big East clash of titans. To add to the drama, Nova dominated the Panthers early this year, and somewhat embarrassed Pitt.
Craig has the Pitt Panthers -2 in a very tight nip-and-tuck game. All the trends and momentum is on Nova's side, but Pitt will just get the job done. It might not be a pretty game for Pittsburgh, but don't worry, they play better ugly than any team in the NCAA.
Blair, Young and Fields will carry Pitt all the way to the NCAA championship. Enjoy the great game!!
