Not a single superstar over the course of the past six months has stirred up as much discussion on the Internet as Ryback. Ryback is a true enigma in the world of professional wrestling, and there is no telling just what WWE has in store for their "new monster on the block."
In this article (which continues my countdown to WrestleMania 29 series), I will give you a couple of scenarios that will allow for Ryback to achieve the biggest moment of his career—and I'm not talking just up until this point. I'm talking about what will go down as the absolute biggest moment of his career when it is all said and done.
Firstly, I am going to do what we should never do in professional wrestling and assume that CM Punk will retain the WWE Championship against Ryback on the first Raw of 2013. If that is the case, it is safe to say that Ryback will be able to move away from CM Punk and start another feud on the card.
With the Royal Rumble coming up, Ryback will be a favorite within the confines of the WWE. A storyline involving Ryback's participation in the 30-man extravaganza could be the recipe for a successful build-up.
While many people who believe everything that is fed to them on the Internet feel that Sheamus will win the Royal Rumble for the second straight year, I feel that Ryback will be the guy to win it. There is no doubt in my mind that if Ryback is victorious, it will set up a monumental clash with Big Show at WrestleMania 29 in April for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Who should Ryback fight at WrestleMania 29?
Think about the scene inside MetLife stadium as Ryback marches around the ring with Big Show hoisted up on his shoulders, dropping him mightily to the mat in front of 90,000 strong. This would be a WrestleMania highlight for years to come and the biggest moment in Ryback's career.
There is also room for this match to be set up without the World Heavyweight Championship involved. If Ryback doesn't win the Royal Rumble and is somehow inserted into the Elimination Chamber match of the World Heavyweight Championship, he can eliminate Big Show from the match and get in the way of Big Show being in a WrestleMania main event.
Big Show could be out for vengeance against Ryback leading into this huge contest at WrestleMania 29. If it was up to me, I would insert none other than Shaquille O'Neal into the match as special guest referee or enforcer. This would add a huge attraction to WrestleMania and give an outlet to the world of sports outside of the WWE universe.
If this match were to be set up, many people will ask where this would leave Dolph Ziggler, who still has the Money in the Bank briefcase. If the latter of these scenarios takes place, Dolph would go on to cash in his briefcase on whomever came out of Elimination Chamber victorious…even if it was Ryback.
At Elimination Chamber, Dolph could attack the victorious but exhausted Ryback after the match and cash in the briefcase to become World Heavyweight Champion. This scenario would immediately set up a rematch at WrestleMania 29.
While a match with Big Show could serve as a tremendous spectacle, a match with Ziggler could give us that "Ravishing" Rick Rude against The Ultimate Warrior feel.
While I wouldn't suggest WWE repeat history and have Ryback quickly defeat Ziggler like Sheamus did to Daniel Bryan, I would allow Ryback to use his power to create an array of high spots with ultra-athletic Dolph Ziggler.
In all scenarios, I would have Ryback coming out victorious, cementing himself as a WrestleMania mainstay for years to come.
You may hate Ryback because he isn't one of your IWC workrate guys that you may love so much, but there is no denying that this dude has money written all over him. And a huge WrestleMania moment, that will last for eternity, is definitely on the horizon.
Keep it real.

(I know this idea of Ryback vs. Big Show is a pretty rampant rumor on the net, but I thought about this as soon as I saw Ryback start to pick two guys up on his shoulders at once. I know for a fact that if you read the comments below when they start, you will see a lot of people point out to me that it wasn't my idea and whatnot. Regardless, that's not the point of the article.)
