It's been stated that 2012 was not the best year to be a fan of the Tennessee Volunteers. I know I've said it quite a bit.

But that is slowly starting to fade into the past.

This isn't the time of year to dwell on the bad happenings of your favorite football team. Instead, it's the time to give of yourself and find joy in being with your loved ones.

So, this article will be a little different than ones written by me in the past. Instead of breaking down the team or commenting on the new head coach, this is going to be a little bit of fun.

In keeping with the Holiday Season, one of my favorite Christmas songs is "The 12 Days of Christmas." That got me thinking: How can I tie this in with the Vols for an article?

Then it came to me. I can combine the two—and now present to you the 12 Days of Volmas.

On the first day of Volmas, my true love gave to me: a Butch Jones on Rocky Top.

On the second day of Volmas, my true love gave to me: two season tickets and a Butch Jones on Rocky Top.

On the third day of Volmas, my true love gave to me: three juniors drafted, two season tickets and a Butch Jones on Rocky Top.

On the fourth day of Volmas, my true love gave to me: four Smokey howls, three juniors drafted, two season tickets and a Butch Jones on Rocky Top.

On the fifth day of Volmas, my true love gave to me: five five-star recruits, four Smokey howls, three juniors drafted, two season tickets and a Butch Jones on Rocky Top.

On the sixth day of Volmas, my true love gave to me: six give him sixes, five five-star recruits, four Smokey howls, three juniors drafted, two season tickets and a Butch Jones on Rocky Top.

On the seventh day of Volmas, my true love gave to me: Neyland's seven Maxims, six give him sixes, five five-star recruits, four Smokey howls, three juniors drafted, two season tickets and a Butch Jones on Rocky Top.

On the eighth day of Volmas, my true love gave to me: eight cheerleaders cheering, Neyland's seven Maxims, six give him sixes, five five-star recruits, four Smokey howls, three juniors drafted, two season tickets and a Butch Jones on Rocky Top.

On the ninth day of Volmas, my true love gave to me: nine power T's, eight cheerleaders cheering, Neyland's seven Maxims, six give him sixes, five five-star recruits, four Smokey howls, three juniors drafted, two season tickets and a Butch Jones on Rocky Top.

On the tenth day of Volmas, my true love gave to me: ten Dooley tweets, nine power T's, eight cheerleaders cheering, Neyland's seven Maxims, six give him sixes, five five-star recruits, four Smokey howls, three juniors drafted, two season tickets and a Butch Jones on Rocky Top.

On the eleventh day of Volmas, my true love gave to me: eleven men on the field, ten Dooley tweets, nine power T's, eight cheerleaders cheering, Neyland's seven Maxims, six give him sixes, five five-star recruits, four Smokey howls, three juniors drafted, two season tickets and a Butch Jones on Rocky Top.

On the twelfth day of Volmas, my true love gave to me: twelve wins soon, eleven men on the field, ten Dooley tweets, nine power T's, eight cheerleaders cheering, Neyland's seven Maxims, six give him sixes, five five-star recruits, four Smokey howls, three juniors drafted, two season tickets and a Butch Jones on Rocky Top.

There you have it, hope you enjoy this as much as I did writing it.

From me to you, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and yours.

Admit it, you sang along a little bit.
