The New York Jets have covered the spread in each of their last six games against the Tennessee Titans, and will look to keep their playoff hopes alive with another win and cover in the Week 15 Monday Nighter.

The Jets visit LP Field as a two-point road underdog at most sportsbooks tracked by, after betting pushed the number higher. It opened earlier in the week with the Titans at -1.

Despite having just a 6-7 straight up record, the Jets are still not mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. New York is 3-1 SU and 2-2 ATS over its last four games, with the only loss coming in the Thanksgiving blowout loss to New England.

New York’s offense continues to struggle, but the defense has been outstanding allowing just 9.7 points per game over the last three wins.

Tennessee’s 27-23 loss at home to the Indianapolis Colts last week was the Titans’ third straight loss, both SU and ATS, to a division rival. Tennessee is just 1-5 SU and ATS over its last six games and 0-3 SU and ATS in its last three games at home since upsetting Pittsburgh back in Week 6.

On the season, Tennessee is 4-9 SU and ATS.

Since moving to Tennessee from Houston, the Titans have never covered a spread against the Jets, going 1-5 SU and 0-6 ATS against New York. The Jets are 3-1 SU and 4-0 ATS in their last four trips to Tennessee.

The total has gone OVER in three of the last four games between these two teams and in 18 of New York’s last 25 road games overall.

Needless to say, when the NFL scheduled this game back in the preseason, it wasn’t expecting both of these teams to be below .500. These are two bad teams with bad offenses, which doesn’t make for a very thrilling matchup.

But considering the fact that points will likely be at a premium, we like the Jets and their superior defense to make more plays and to come away with the victory.
