Real Madrid have a tough task ahead to reach the last eight of the Spanish Copa del Rey. Jose Mourinho's side lost 2-1 at Celta Viga on Wednesday in the Round of 16 behind a golazo from Celta's Cristian Bustos.
With Real Madrid already trailing 1-0 in the 78th minute, Bustos, a 29-year-old defensive midfielder, launched a rocket from outside the box on the left side. It flew into the top corner past Antonio Adan's full-strech dive for a 2-0 Celta lead.
Real pulled one back through Cristiano Ronaldo four minutes from time and now return to the Bernabeu for the second leg with a tricky deficit. The return leg is scheduled for Jan. 9. The winner of the two-legged tie advances to the quarterfinals.
Bustos' superb strike can be viewed in the video above. It's our Set Piece Video of the Day for this Thursday. Enjoy.
After the match, Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho admitted the better team won. From RealMadrid.com:
I liked how Celta played and I think that they deserved to win the match. …They deserved to win the match, but I still think we are favourites to win the tie and I’d like to think that we will go through. There is no great drama, everything is still to be played for and we know they are a good team.
Mourinho added: "I'd rather lose here today than to do it in the league because we can do something about this."
