Since Manchester United's shock horror 2-0 defeat at Craven Cottage over the weekend, the reigning champions have got some serious work to do if they plan on retaining the title once more.

Before their game against Liverpool a fortnight ago, the Red Devils were flying high at the top of the table, but the 4-1 defeat knocked them back and they came out against Fulham lacking the confidence they needed to secure a strong hold on the title.

"We're well aware that the title is in Manchester United's hands, but we're trying to put them under as much pressure as possible," claims Liverpool's 31-year-old right back Jamie Carragher.

But the question remains. Can Man U dust themselves off, and play like they did last month? The pressure now lies on Sir Alex Ferguson, to turn his team around from his consecutive defeats.

Steven Gerrard's hat-trick against Aston Villa has fans singing his praises all week, and many of them also believe that Liverpool is going to fight for the title, and eventually come out on top. But with some of the worlds finest such as Ronaldo, Vidic, Rooney, and Van Der Sar standing between them and the trophy, its guaranteed to be no easy task.

To add insult to injury for the "Devils," they will be without some of their key players this coming match, Rooney's tantrum over the weekend has earned him a one-match ban, both Vidic and Scholes will also be absent in this weekend's clash against Villa due to their suspensions. Young talent like Jonny Evans and Carlos Tevez will be expected to step up and fill the shoes of their fellow teammates. Can do they do themselves justice?

With the season nearing its climax, every win and loss will be crucial to both sides. Manchester United still has a firm grip on one handle of the Barclay's Premier League Trophy, with Chelsea tugging at Liverpool's hand on the other. What A Finish!
