Manny Pacquiao: A Shrewd Businessman or a Political Victim?

Many people believed Manny Pacquiao is not capable of taking an office as a public official, much more leading the country as its president.

That may be true. But then who knows, with his wealth, five or 10 years from now, things may be different. Even at this time, who can tell? In the past, far less popular and far less qualified have made it to the highest position.

With that alone, someone else, who maybe aspiring for the position is threatened.  The popularity of Manny Pacquiao should not be taken for granted. If Manny who still lack the qualification at this time, there’s no precise moment than now to destroy Manny’s credibility.

Anyway, it’s just political!!!

Manny can still help the country by helping other people in his own small way. He can still help our future boxers by just being their trainer. He can add value by promoting their fights. Anyhow, that is his talent, and that is where he is the best.

There’s really no limit how Manny Pacquiao can help the country, if he wants to.

I myself believe when Manny retires, he can help far more effectively, if he tries to help those boxers who are trying to emulate him and follow his footsteps. Manny can be the best trainer and at the same time his own mentor for the next episode of his life.

What was bothering at the moment is that, why, at this early stage, considering the next election would be in 2010, and Manny Pacquiao has stated his intention to run for an office, someone is already trying to destroy his credibility.

Politics, as we all know, is as dirty as it is. Who knows, that fiasco with Solar Sports and ABS-CBN is the trigger and intentionally done to dupe Pacquaio to suggest, he is not qualified for any positions.

But then, such an act is a demolition job. How can we be sure, if that is the case, that person who is behind such an action, is better qualified to hold any public office?

That alone is an indication of outright corruption, and for sure, the masses will be at the losing end.
