Real Madrid Confident of Signing Falcao?

Real Madrid are "confident" of signing Atletico Madrid forward Radamel Falcao ahead of Premier League clubs Chelsea and Manchester City, according to Metro.

Falcao, 26, scored five goals in Atletico's 6-0 victory over Deportivo La Coruña over the weekend. The Colombian international has been linked with several top clubs from around Europe.

Manchester City to Move for Paulinho?

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini wants to sign Brazilian midfielder Paulinho from Corinthians for £12 million in January, according to the Daily Mirror.

Paulinho, 24, has earned eight caps for Brazil. He is currently playing with Corinthians in the FIFA Club World Cup.

Arsenal After Nani?

Arsenal are considering a January move for out-of-favor Manchester United winger Nani, according to the Daily Mail.

Nani, 26, missed the Manchester Derby over the weekend and has not played since early November. United reportedly came close to selling the Portuguese international in the summer (via ESPN FC).

Police Arrest 9 After Manchester Derby Trouble

Greater Manchester police have arrested nine people in relation to crowd trouble from Sunday's Manchester Derby (via The Guardian).

Manchester United defeated Manchester City 3-2 at City's Etihad Stadium. Near the end of the match, a coin thrown from the stands hit United defender Rio Ferdinand. Moments later, a fan ran onto the pitch.

Police reportedly are still seeking the person who threw the coin onto the pitch.

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar Not Leaving Schalke?

Schalke general manager Horst Heldt has denied speculation that striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar will leave the club in January, according to waz.de (h/t Goal.com).

Huntelaar, 29, is out of contract in the summer and has been linked with Inter and Arsenal. Heldt, however, said the stories are only "rumors."

"These stories are nothing more than rumors," he said. "As of today, I have not heard anything from any club."
