As impossible as it seemed, the fourth installment of Pacquiao vs. Marquez was actually more entertaining than the first three. Like its predecessors, this fight featured exciting, non-stop action. But unlike the first three fights, Pacquiao-Marquez 4 also saw both fighters hit the canvas within the first five rounds.
Marquez put Pacquiao on the deck in the second round with a gorgeous over-the-top right hand. Pacquiao was able to recover, though, and the two traded blows throughout the third and fourth rounds.
In the fifth, it was Pacquiao who gained control, landing 21 power punches, including a devastating left hand cross that knocked Marquez to the floor. The Mexican's legs were wobbly throughout the rest of the round, but he somehow survived the onslaught of Pacquiao punches.
In the sixth round, Pacquiao sensed that Marquez was vulnerable and he became even more aggressive as he looked for the decisive knockout. Unfortunately for Pac-Man, he got caught with his hands down, and Marquez displayed his counter-punching prowess, destroying Pacquiao with a brutal right hand cross.
It was a shocking turn of events, and as Pacquiao lay motionless on the canvas, the entire boxing world was stunned. It was an incredible ending to a great bout, and luckily for all you hardcore fight fans, you'll have plenty of opportunities to check out the replay in the coming days.
