The UFC on Fox 5 card coming up is one of the most anticipated cards of 2012.

It features a completely stacked main card, as well as quality fights on the undercard. The card will showcase a lightweight title fight, a fight for contendership at 205 and the return of a legend.

Plus the entire card is free.

Here is a fan's guide of what to watch for on this UFC on Fox 5 card.

There Are a Number of Solid Fights on the Card

This card is full of talent from top to bottom. Most fans are aware of the big fights of the night, but little do some realize that there are a number of other fights that could steal the show.

Also fighting on this card you have kickboxer Dennis Siver taking on the always-tough Nam Phan. Some TUF alums will collide when Joe Proctor and Ramsey Nijem meet.

Don't forget about the fight between Tim Means and Abel Trujillo. Or the one which pits Raphael Assuncao against Mike Easton.

There is a fantastic amount of talent on the undercard alone.

Mike Swick vs. Matt Brown Could Be Fight of the Night

Both of these fighters always put on great shows.

Brown is riding high on a three-fight winning streak, while Swick came back from a lengthy layoff and scored a nasty knockout victory over DaMarques Johnson.

Neither guy likes to quit, and they always give their best effort when they step into the Octagon. This fight has Fight of the Night written all over it.

BJ Penn Returns Against Rory MacDonald

We haven't seen BJ Penn in the Octagon since his beating at the hands of Nick Diaz.

We thought that was the last we would see of Penn, but fate has a funny way of working. A call out from Rory MacDonald was too good an offer to pass up, and just like that, Penn was coming back.

Penn is an aging legend who takes on the vicious young Canadian, Rory MacDonald.

Penn is fighting for his legacy and MacDonald wants to cement himself as a contender.

This has all the makings of a thrilling fight.

Shogun and Gustafsson Fight for Contendership

The co-main event of the night features two fighters who want a win so they can potentially challenge Jon Jones for the light heavyweight strap.

"Shogun" desperately wants another shot against Jones, who took his belt from him. Gustafsson has been steamrolling his competition and looks like the ideal challenger for the champion.

"Shogun" is fighting to stay relevant and earn himself another title shot, but he will need to go through the hungry young Swede, who wants to prove he's an elite fighter as well.

The set-up for the fight promises fireworks for sure.

A Lightweight Title Fight

The main event of the evening will be a wicked lightweight title fight between Benson "Smooth" Henderson, and Stockton bad boy Nate Diaz.

This promises to be a great fight with tons of action. Henderson will attempt to out-muscle Diaz and control him, while Diaz will use his excellent boxing and try to turn this fight into a real scrap.

This fight could go with either way very easily, and both men are prepared to lay everything on the line for the lightweight strap.

This will great bout to end what I hope will be an action-packed night of fights.
