Manchester City: Aleksandar Kolarov 'Sings' for Christmas Season (Video)

One can only assume this is how they celebrate Christmas in Serbia.

As the Christmas season kicks into overdrive, English champions Manchester City are releasing daily videos on their YouTube account for the club's advent calendar.

As one might expect, the results so far have been barrel of rib-tickling laughs. So far, we've seen David Silva trying mice pies, Micah Richards reading Christmas stories and Mario Balotelli doing Mario Balotelli stuff.

The pick of the bunch, however, has been Serbian defender Aleksandar Kolarov's recital of the classic Christmas carol "Jingle Bells." Put simply, Kolarov's version is unlike any we've ever heard.

And yes, that's a good thing. A very, very good thing.

Don't be mistaken. This was not a virtuoso performance of an expert singer. Quite the opposite was true, in fact.

This is to be expected, of course. Kolarov, a manly defender, is way too hard to sing on key in public. Like the manliest of men, Kolarov instead chose to recite the song in spoken-word style.

The result? It's kind of like that wacky U2 song where the Edge raps, but with a Christmas theme. Or in other words, it's a Sprechgesang Yuletide romp.

All of which is to say that Kolarov's Christmas classic was way too good to pass up for this Tuesday edition of the Set Piece Video of the Day. The clip appears above. Enjoy over and over until Dec. 25.

As of Tuesday around 9:30 a.m. ET, more than 84,000 people had done just that.

We smell a new holiday tradition.
